Finally got the green card in the mail! Quick question for those who also have theirs: Does the first/given name also have the initial of their middle name? We've had a lot of issues with the middle name and have not been completely successful in getting it taken care of. So is the card supposed to have the initial after the first name (reading FIRST NAME MIDDLE INITIAL)?

My ead has that aswell, and i have two middle names but only the first one is there, the initial. But let me ask you, what kind of problems have you had because of thid? My bank has the same name combo for me. It's kind of like how i am registered in the us, i thought it was common?!

Our problem actually started with my husband's first entry into the US. An O'hare immigrations officer entered my husband's two middle names as part of his first name. So in their files they had three first names for him, no middle name, and his surname. On top of that, part of his second middle name got cut off because there wasn't enough space to write all three names in their system in the "first name" category. Because we did not know someone did that, when we tried applying for his social security card we found out that according to the US he technically had no middle name, so he wasn't showing up in the social security system. To compensate for this, instead of actually fixing it to show what corresponds with his birth certificate, the social security office just dropped his second middle name completely and abbreviated his first middle name so they basically erased his identity and gave him a new one.

Just today the website updated that it was assigned to an officer for review.

Hi everyone, this is a great thread! And it's nice to see another Aussie in it too. Congrats on the kid on the way!

I'm in a similar situation with AOS it seems. Filed July 2014. Interview waiver letter end of December. On my third service request now in September 2015 - the first two didn't get any response.

I guess the name of the game is that we just keep waiting and have patience? Any other tips or tricks?

Cheers,

Ty. We are excited about the baby. :)

Not too excited about the AOS sitch. We actually just did an inquiry. Our first. And received a form letter stating that our application is pending and to expect a response

in 210 !!!! days. My husband lost it. We have just sent in the renewal EAD app, as his expires mid December. I am expecting the RFE for his medical bc it expired back in July, but so far no news on that front.

As for tips, I have none. It is random who gets approved and when. I have ceased attempting to figure it out. :/

best of luck and I hope yours comes through soon.

Also, not sure about posting other links here in this forum, but we found an awesome Aussie Bakery out of Georgia that delivers if you are missing any of the foods. My husband loves the meat pies. It is called the Australian Bakery Cafe. :)
