Thank you ?

Anyone who had gotten approved early this month, got green card in hand by any chance?

?

I have seen 2 people who were approved in the first week of July receive their notices that the card was mailed only yesterday and today. So I expect mine would be mailed in 2.5ish weeks too. Congrats again!

Finally I got something too !! :joy:

"On July 25, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number ..., and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Sooo I thought I would get my card soon, but today I received this:

"On July 27, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number .... Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by September 25, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

I guess I will be waiting for the welcome notice. I'm not sure what that second notice means, is it really going to be 2 months till I get my card, can anyone tell me what the welcome notice is going to say, or is it individual... ?

Thanks!

It's just gonna welcome you as a perm. Resident in the usa, that your alien number is important that to you and to keep your greencard with you at all times, it's the law.

To apply for removal of your conditional permanent residency in time and that this card is valid for 2 years etc. In mine it said that i should expect to receive my greencard within 3 weeks from this notice. Oh, and i recieved my welcome nptice only 4 days after my status changed ?

Congrats to you!!

Finally got the green card in the mail! Quick question for those who also have theirs: Does the first/given name also have the initial of their middle name? We've had a lot of issues with the middle name and have not been completely successful in getting it taken care of. So is the card supposed to have the initial after the first name (reading FIRST NAME MIDDLE INITIAL)?

I called the USCIS today (says in the welcome letter to call them iff I don't get it within 3 weeks to call them). The person on the phone was sooooo annoying, he didn't know what he was talking about, didn't ask about my name, receipt number or alien number to verify it's me on the phone. Instead he asked if I paid some immigration fee when I entered the country, I didn't know what he was talking about... Then I gave him my receipt number and he asked if I got here with a visa for an Israeli translator... ?!? It was very weird... Like he had no idea what was going on. Then I asked him again why haven't I received my green card and when are they going to mail it, he said they have some delays in the production facility and I should get it by September 25 (which is what said in the email before I got the welcome notice...

Very frustrating 20 mins...
