Congratulations to everyone whose GC journey is complete!

I had my interview today (finally!). Right before the interview my husband kept freaking me out just for fun (he was having fun, I wasn't lol) But the officer was really nice and I relaxed a bit. She asked my full legal name and I accidentally said my maiden name (I seriously had zero reasons to worry but couldn't help it). Then she asked us both about our dates of birth, asked my husband about the day of our marriage (he remembered, yay!), asked me about my SS number and a series of formal questions on whether I ever committed crimes, participated in illegal activities etc. Then was the funny part: she asked my husband about my parents' names. He got soooo stuuuck. When we talk on Skype, he usually just says mom/dad and he has a lot of troubles with my native language. He couldn't remember my mom's name but managed to remember my dad's name. The officer found it funny, luckily. I submitted all the proof of bona fide marriage I had (health insurance, banking docs, life insurance, a stack of pictures). She said everything looks good and she'll approve my GC this afternoon. I'm so releived!

Good luck to everyone who are yet to have the interview!

October filer here as well and still haven't got any update since 11/24/2014- [N.B.C received my RFE evidence] :ranting: ..... Not even a interview waiver notice.. :protest: But from the look of things in this discussion board.. I should be hoping for an interview vs the waiver ..as getting a waiver could mean more months of waiting...

Thank you:) I actually like Duolingo better, give it a try! I'm trying to not push him too hard with Russian as he's working and doing his Bachelor's Degree at the same time, so we're learning the basics now. But as soon as he's done with the degree...:D
