It has been almost 5 months since we sent our AOS petition. We received the EAD/AP in January.

No updates yet regarding AOS. I see a lot of October filers have received a letter for the potential

interview waiver after about 3-4 months. Anyway of knowing if we will get an interview vs a waiver

at this point in time, based on the filing time frame? I know no one has a crystal ball; just wondering

if there is any correlation between time filed and potential interview letter.

Anyone? :o

i can confirm that, baltimore maryland is still on june 24, i just spoke to uscis

its annoying but i dont know about other states i cant get a drivers licence because my case is pending.

how am i meant to get a decent job where i have to drive to if i cant drive?

is it the same for a lot of you out there?

were you guys able to get drivers licences with your ead card?

I can confirm that too, and ours hasn't changed from Fingerprint received, we are in MD also and haven't heard a thing, regarding drivers license, we are headed to MVA tomorrow to see what will happen, so are you saying they turned you down from getting a drivers license, do we have to wait for Green Card just to get that...

Not sure about Maryland, but in Michigan, my wife was able to get a driver's license with her EAD card and SSC along with documents showing proof of residency (bank statements, utility bills etc.). The only drawback is that it will expire in the one year period of the EAD. Once the GC arrives, we should be able to get a 2 year DL.

Good Luck!

Hi Abby, Yes the problem was resolved yesterday.

I requested for an InfoPass appointment. We went yesterday.

The officer looked at our paperwork, I showed him a copy of our interview appointment letter dated 2/18/2015.

I showed him the Welcome Letter, the 797, I showed him as many documents proving that we got approved this year not the date the card has...

then he asked me "so what? what do you want me to do?"

I told him, I am requesting a new card. Already filled out the form I-90 and mailed it.

I told him I want the I-511stamp in the passport.

He told me to wait. Took the passport.

A few minutes later he came back with the passport and a stamp.

Good!

We had a very easy approval today. We had an 12:45pm appointment, and arrived at 12:15. We had to wait till about 12:45-1:00pm for our interview. She swore us in, confirmed my wife name / address. She asked when her last entry into the country, which was 2 days before. We got back from a cruise but they did not process her with her AP. She said that was normal with the cruises.

She asked her the questions in her I-485 form. She made copies of our drivers license and she asked that if we knew about the ROC in 2 years. We said yes, and got our txt that are green card was in production a couple hours after we left. She never looked at our paperwork that we brought.

We were in our interview in less than 10 minutes.
