To all those who are located in CA and have already a foreign dl:

On Saturday I got my EAD.

Today I got my DL valid for two months which will be extended after I have completed the behind the wheel test.

I just walked in at the DMV office in Stanton CA. It took us 3 hours of waiting but we just took our ticket and went for a two hr lunch. This means I litterly can move forward without having completed already the behind the wheel test.

Make sure u study the dmv app cause questions look quite similar to it.

Hi guys, We just got a notification from USCIS saying that the interview notice was mailed to us today and the interview date is March 11th. Our case was accepted on October 2nd last year, so it looks like the New York City office has started scheduling October 2014 filers. Not sure what the processing time for other field offices are but, looks like 5 plus months for NYC.

I used the CA DMV app from 2013. Its very old but you will get the same kind of questions but then in another setting.

It was very easy. Especially if you are used to those European drivers tests.

best thing to do is to review the questions on the app and the theory attached to it and you'll pass with an A.

good luck

I didn't drive in the UK either as public transportation was great and it was very easy to get around. I just got my learners permit here in Nebraska and my wife is trying to teach me. I must admit, I am nervous but we all have to start somewhere. Good luck! :)

I called uscis today to ask About my case still in response review since the 24th of november even though its says online that i should get a case update by the 23rd of january. He puts me on hold for about 5 minutes, came back to tell me that my case has been in ready to be scheduled for interview since the 16th of december and that he has put in a request for the 18th of febuary for uscis to mail me and let me know when my interview will take place. I was glad to know that my case had been updated to ready to be scheduled for interview. If i had not called, i wouldn't have known that because it still says response to rfe was receive. Hope in the coming week the rest of us who have not gotting an interview notice will hear something.

Hi Dassy, did you really call USCIS? What number did you call? Coz mine was response review since November 5th and they said I will get an update by January 4th but I just didn't bother calling because they might say it's still within their timeline. I'm so worried with my status right now when I saw yours been updated. Are you checking your case on their website?
