Anyone in this situation?

I had a RFE for my EAD which I responded to in 2 days but now I have been told that this could add another 60 days to my timeline, meaning that I may have to wait until March for the card.

My 75 day mark should have been the 19 December.

I know others had a RFE too and wondered if this is the case for anyone else?

Thanks

When you receive an RFE it resets the 75 days of pending application. So whichever day you received an RFE you count the 75 days from then before you can do a service request.

Also could you fill in your timeline? It's helpful to those who want to assist with your situation.

We had our Interview this morning and our case was approved! It was a fast interview, about 35 minutes long.

We arrived on time, the lady came out and took us back to her office. She had our file out and we did the oath to tell the truth. Then she looked at our file and confirmed the information on it, like birth date, address. She asked for my passport and EAD card as well as my wife's state ID to copy at the machine. She asked for proof of residence so we gave her our rental agreement and utility letter. Then she asked my wife what day we were married, quick quiz question. Then she asked me the list of questions from the application. And after that she asked me some questions about when we first met, whether we want kids, who's going to have them and what's going on with that. We told her that we're getting a puppy next week, we talked about that. She got us to sign any notes or changes she made to the application, which was just like adding that my daytime phone was a cell, etc. Then she told us we were approved, gave us a sheet and said I should get the card in the mail sometime between 10 days to a month.

Happy, happy day! Now I'm off to take care of my wife who is sick with the flu.

If your case has been pending at least 75 days you can call them now as per the website which says an expedite can be requested under "approaching regulatory time frame" , unless you just want to wait the full 90 days.

Yeah. I opted not to because other members had called and all they told them was that their case was in line and still within the 90 days and still had to wait. So I decided just to wait.

Oh man it's hard reading through all the past posts. Anyways, here is one:

Quote: I filed a service request on Monday, but no update as of today. Called USCIS again today, but they said its still within the 90-day processing timeline.

They filed on the 9th.

Anyways, but you can still try calling. I waited because of the holidays. But might be worth a try now.

We're 2 weeks out from hitting 90 days anyway. I might wait, what's the protocol if you hit 90 days and still no EAD?
