There was nothing wrong with how you went about things. I got my SS card back in August and will go back soon as I get my EAD card to change my SS card to my married name. All he has to do is go and have his name fixed once he has something proving his legal status like an EAD card)))

Awesome! Thank you for the information, I figured VJ's k1 timeline would not stray me afar but just wanted to make sure. Sounds like we will be getting the EAD/Ap card at about the same time, yours was sent today (I believe thats what I read) and mine was sent yesterday! Congratulations and hopefully they come soon!

Yeah I know thats kind of a bummer that all of this is happening during christmas and new years. It eventually will come though, we are through the hardest part it seems at least with the EAD/AP card. I will make sure to let you know when we receive it!

I received 4 text messages at 4am from uscis! But my card is on its way!

On December 30, 2014, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number XXXX, to the address you gave us.

Strangely, I've been getting updates for my Employment Authorization, but nothing on my Travel Document. It still says what it said when they first received my application

Interview Date : 2015-01-05 - APPROVED!

aaaah! reading all this post, and checking the timelines that are similar than mine,. I wish I could get an update on the EAD/AP! I sent the AOS/EAD/AP early October, got 3 NOAs on Oct 16, biometrics on nov 18..and then on nov 25 I see an update for the AOS that the interview is going to be scheduled and if I don't get the notification by dec 25, then request another one...now the wait...

but nothing about the EAD nor AP...

aaghhh!! :P

Hello again!

Just went out and checked the mail and the card arrived! We are very excited and it was a pleasant surprise they must have done 1 day shipping or something. I hope your card arrives then on Thursday or Friday whenever they start up mail after the holiday.

You know, according to my VJ's timeline, it says this is day 83 for me, which means the timeline counts from the day of filing the petition, and I was counting the days from the date of the NOAs approval, the 10/16/2014 so it is the 75th day.

My interview is supposed to be schedule and I was supposed to get a notification, but nothing yet. The update said if no notification by dec 25 then request a copy, which I did. Now I got an email saying that if I don't get anything by feb 25/15 then try again. I don't know..

I hope you get your approvals soon!

No I never received any shipment information or tracking number, the only info I received was from the USCIS case status website which told me what day it was sent on. Not a problem at all! :)
