Just want to add my good news! Got an email this morning that we've been scheduled for our interview on December 17th! Our status went to "Testing & Interview" last Friday, so I figured we'd be sitting in that step forever. Couldn't be more excited :))

Congrats!! I hope our office moves as quick as yours!

10/07/14 - Package (!-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 concurrent filing sent to Chicago Lockbox (Day 00)
10/10/14 - Package delivered and signed for (Day 3)
10/16/14 - Acceptance confirmation text messages/emails received (Day 10)
10/20/14 - Hardcopy NOA's for all forms (Day 14)
10/23/14 - Biometrics letter received in the mail - Appointment November 5 (Day 17)
11/05/14 - Biometrics done! (Day 30)
02/05/15 - EAD/AP Approved/ Card in Production

02/13/15 - EAD/AP Combo Received

08/07/15 - Interview notice was mailed to me (interview set for 9/10)

08/10/15 - Interview notice in mail (interview set for 7:00 am)

9/10/15 - Interview

9/10/15 - Card in Production email notice.

9/12/15: Texts and emails i-485 and i-130 approved on 9/10 and welcome notice sent

9/15/15 : Received Text and email update that card had been mailed 9/15. (No tracking)
9/16/15 : Received Text and email update that the card has been delivered (Tracking).

9/17/15 : Green Card received!

6/13/17 : Mailed I-751.

6/16/17: I-751 delivered.

6/22/17: Received NOA 1 in Mail (dated 6/16/17).

7/20/17: biometrics done.

9/10/18: Approval letter received. 

9/13/18: Picked up card from Post office.

Just got notice of EAD/AP combo card production. Wooohoooo! The I-485 is still in response review though.

Things are moving along, even though the website is unstable and the call center is flooded with calls.

Hey thanks! We actually had a successful early walk-in for biometrics in Boston on October 23rd.

Awesome. Looks like your side of the country is moving pretty quick. I have a friend over here in Dallas who works for an immigration lawyer and she told us (a month ago) that immigration was backed up and cases like ours were taking 5-7 months. But that they were trying to bring in more people to help with the back logs.

I really hope that's not the case and it goes quicker than that. Lets hope it does!

How do you do your Biometrics earlier than scheduled?

I think they just walk in to the office stated on the letter and follow the same procedure as if you were going on the date stated on the letter. Wife and I didn't try here in Dallas because I couldn't find any recent reports of successful walk ins.

When you get your letter give it a try and see what happens! The worse that can happen is they tell you to go back on your date assigned.

We filed October 23rd and got our biometrics letter the following Monday. Fiance's appointment was November 10th.

I checked the mail and nothing yet.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-03-2022: Interview scheduled (online notice).

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

07-11-2022: Naturalization Interview

Here is my experience doing my biometric today.

My appointment was @9 AM, and I was late for it (unbelievably there were 4 accidents from my apartment to the USCIS office)I was so nervous the officers would reject me from doing my biometric, but they don't check the appointment notice, so I that wasn't a problem. Instead the staff were very nice and efficient so things moved pretty fast. When I went to the front desk I was asked for my appointment notice and an ID. I showed my state ID but the officer asked me for another ID (luckily I had taken my passport with me). I had to file a form with my information and submitted back to the officer and from then I just had to wait for my turn to take my fingerprint and my picture, this process lasted about 5 minutes. The all process, lasted about 30 minutes. I was out arund 10 AM.

10/24/2014= sent package via USPS priority

10/27/2014= package delivered at Chicago Lockbox

11/3/2014= received hard copies of NOAs (I485, I765)

11/8/2014 = received biometric letter (Notice date 10/31st)

11/17/2014 = biometric @ 9AM

1/12/2015 = EAD approved

2/24/2015 = GC interview scheduled for March 30th

3/30/2015= Interview - was not approved on the spot

4/13/2015 = Approved SMS/Email

4/17/2015 = Recieved Welcome letter in the mail

4/20/2015 = Recieved Green Card :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

11.10.14 : NOA hard copy

11.17.14 : Biometrics letter received

11.24.14 : Biometrics appointment

11.26.14 : RFE email for AOS

12.01.14 : RFE hard copy

12.02.14 : RFE sent

12.30.14 : EAD in production

01.07.15 : EAD mailed

01.08.15 : EAD received!!
