Greetings All!! It has been awhile since I last posted here. I have a couple of questions regarding the affadavit of support(form I-134). On part 3 it asks relationship to sponsor. This may be a stupid question but do I simply put Fiancee in this box? Also on part 11 it asks if you will be making specific contributions to this persons support. This is confusing as she will be my Wife. There will be no specific contributions but of course I will be supporting her. Is the answer to this question a No? Thank you in advance to anyone that can help. I hope that everyone is well.

Check out the 'example forms' link above... where you will find an example I-134 with all those questions answered for you! :)

(Just as well really, 'cos that 'specific contributions' one in particular is guaranteed to make you think 'huh?')

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Matt,

For the K visas this is not an important question, the anecdotal evidence is that any answer will do. I have never read a report of anyone having a problem with how they answered this question.

That being said, I believe in making it a habit to answer all questions with meaningful answers to avoid the possibility of messing up a question that is important. For this question I answered, 'Yes - will provide food, clothing, housing, and all other costs of living', because that was exactly what I planned to do. (Why answer 'No', even if it is an acceptable answer, when the reality is otherwise?)
