It is really disgusting how the police act so ‘dishonestly’ just to bust naïve people. :angry:

I got stopped the other day for going 2 feet over a yellow line on a sharp turn on a deserted, narrow road near my apartment. I did it all wrong, by opening my door all the way to talk to the officer. Next time I’ll know better. (The lady on the motorcycle let me off without a ticket after I told my sob story of being robbed and having terribly expensive car problems, emptying my savings, a couple of weeks ago. Phew. :thumbs: )

Thank you for the link. It is an excellent video - I just went and checked out the ACLU website for Georgia to see what individual state differences there are (as suggested in the video regarding legal searches). This is a very useful resource for new immigrants to the US who are not as familiar with their constitutional rights.
