Can anyone tell me what is package 3? We received NOA2 in the snail mail today, wonder if that's package 3 that everybody's talking about receiving by NVC?

2004-05-30: Met online on ICQ

2004-07-21: Fell in love

2005-06-02: Met in Hong Kong

2006-06-07: Met in Belgium

2006-06-15: Engaged in Italy

2006-10-10: I-129F Sent to NSC

2006-10-23: I-129F NOA1 from CSC

2006-10-26: Check cashed

2006-12-20: Met in Belgium again

2007-01-19: Touched finally!! Send us a NOA2 please!!

2007-01-19: WE GOT NOA2!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2007-01-20: Touched again

2007-01-25: Received NOA2 in mail

2007-02-01: File forwarded to Consulate from NVC

2007-02-08: Consulate received our file and right away mailed Packet 3!

2007-02-10: Packet 3 received!

2007-02-23: Gone for medical check and police report

2007-03-07: Mailed in all the forms needed to the consulate

2007-03-13: Consulate mailed out Packet 4!

2007-03-16: Packet 4 received!

2007-04-16: Interview Day!

2007-08-11: Us Wedding

Looking forward to the day two beans get together and live happily ever after!

Package 3 is the package you will receive from your US Embassy once they receive your approved petition - it contains everything you will need to prepare for your interview.

September 12th, 2006 - Sent in I29F to California Service Center

September 23rd, 2006 - NOA1 Received

December 6th, 2006 - NOA2 Online - APPROVED

January 31st @ 7:30 AM - Interview APPROVED

June 7th, 2007 - Sent in AOS, EAD, and AP Applications

June 15th, 2007 - NOA1 for AOS, EAD and AP

July 14th, 2007 - Biometrics Apointment

August 17th, 2007 - EAD and AP APPROVED

September 18th, 2007 @ 9:03AM - AOS Interview APPROVED

July 29th, 2009 - Sent in I-751 -Lifting of Conditions

July 31st, 2009 NOA

August 29, 2009 @ 12:00P - Biometrics Appointment

The NOA2 is not package 3. It is your NOA2. That means that USCIS here in the states has completed their review of your case. Next stop, National Visa Center, then onto the foreign Consulate.

"Package 3" is the first brown package the beneficiary will receive from the Consulate. It contains the DS-230 form and the DS-2001 form. It instructs you to have your Medical exam completed and provides a list of Doctors that you can use. It instructs you to get Police reports, couple passport photos and to make a copy of the first few pages of your passport.

The DS-230, DS-2001, Passport photos and copy of your passport are to be returned to the Consulate when you have completed/compiled all the things required to setup the Interview.

April 12, 2007 - Apply for SS card with married name

April 20, 2007 - Received SS card

June 4, 2007 - Mailed AOS

June 6, 2007 - USCIS received

June 11, 2007 - NOA1 for I-485

July 18, 2007 - Biometrics completed

July 20, 2007 - Case transferred from MSC to CSC

July 31, 2007 - AOS Approved - 57 days - Without an Interview!

Aug 06, 2007 - Received Green Card in the mail today!

Jan 8, 2009 @ 8:18PM - Our son was born tonight !!

I-751 - Remove Conditions

July 11, 2009 - Certified Mail to VSC I-751 Package

July 14, 2009 - Check cleared bank

July 20, 2009 - NOA1 & 1 yr extension - Receipt date is July 14. Case# assigned

Sept 1, 2009 - Biometrics completed

Nov 25, 2009 - I-751 is approved. No Interview.

Dec 14, 2009 - 10yr Green Card arrived !

AUG- 2006 Went to the UK to visit for 4 days, ENDED UP STAYING FOR 8 DAYS!!!

**TALK ON THE PHONE EVERYDAY...FEELINGS ARE STRONG

OCT- 2006 Went to UK for visit/4 days

11-27-06 I-129F mailed to Vermont

11-29-06 Receipt of NOA1 (received in mail on Dec 4)

12-08-06 Touched

MID-JAN-2007 Will be going soon to UK for visit/1 week

JAN-10-2007 EMAIL OF APPROVAL FOR NOA2 (Received email 8 times in a row!!!!!)

JAN-23-07 BACK FROM UK-- ENJOYED THE 6 DAYS THERE...

JAN-18-07 RECEIVED LETTER FROM NVC (National Visa Center)

1 WEEK PETITION WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE APPROPRIATE VISA ISSUING POST (LONDON) WHERE INTERVIEW WILL TAKE PLACE....

JAN 24-07 JUST FOUND OUT OVER THE PHONE THAT NVC SENT PETITION TO LONDON ON 1/12/07 & US EMBASSY IN LONDON HAS HAD THE FILE SINCE JAN 17TH 2007
