Hi everyone,

I've just started filling out the DS260 form and I realized my passport is expiring on the 10th of June 2015. I'm not sure my number will be called before then (very unlikely that it will). What do I do? I guess I should just fill out the DS260 form with my current document, but should I try to get a new document before the expiration date and get them to reopen my ds260 to add that? I'm pretty sure Romania stopped doing passport extensions since moving to the biometric passports, though I can always ask the consulate I guess..

Thanks!

Born in Romania, been living in the US since 2007 (F1 visa)

F1 visa 2007-2011, 2011-2016 - OPT received August 25, 2014

DV-2015 Selectee - Case Number EU30,7xx - Interview estimate: May/June 2015 (?) - Might try to do AOS though it looks like it might be worse this year

Hi,

" I guess I should just fill out the DS260 form with my current document, but should I try to get a new document before the expiration date and get them to reopen my ds260 to add that"

That's what I exactly did, the only difference is that my old passport was set to expire on June 22nd 2015 :) Just email KCC and they'll re-open it for you.

Nothing to worry about.

Its all about a guess work...
