Hey everyone,

I called the NVC today and they had our LND case number (yayyyyyy!!!!!!!) I was just really looking for some direction in how we should start preparing from here.

1) Our case hasn't made it to the embassy yet, can we start filing any out or working on anything? Scheduling the medical appointment?

2) What documents should my fiancé be gathering to get ready for his interviews?

3) How much proof should I send my fiancé to support the affidavit of support?

4) Any tips on preparing for the interview and moving things along would be greatly appreciated.

MANY THANKS!!!! <3

Im sorry I didnt know what hi jacking was .... I m new at all this ............ my husband just helped me to understand what it is........... i have a hard time with these ....... different site how they operate ............. i just learned it to stay on topic and maybe posting what someone else gave to me on an answer............. im sorry Im doing my best to learn on these....... sorry i really didnt know.............. I was just on same questions as the person............................... im tring to learn all this so please give me understand learn ing about it .. also am I allow to answer things or only certain people............

......

Hijacking a thread means you post other people's topics that have nothing to do with yours and post about your case which has nothing to do with the topic/thread you have posted in.

You do not have the same question as the person that started this thread. Did you get your London case number after your I-129F petition was approved? Are you filing for a K-1 for your fiance(e)? No, you are not even doing the same visa process or going through the same consulate. You filed an I-130 and are applying for a spousal visa. You ask questions about filing the DS-260 and other forms with the NVC. Those have nothing to do with this thread/topic. I have posted about this to you in another thread where you posted in someone's topic that had nothing to do with your visa type or situation. I even posted the link to the correct forum for your visa type where you can ask questions about your own case. Here it is again, the forum for those applying for a spousal visa > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/110-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-process-procedures/

I would wait until your case is in transit then schedule medical. What they want you to do is wait until the embassy notifies you then do what they tell you, which will be medical, get docs together etc. read the guides, read the embassy web site.

I took the I134 and 2 tax transcripts and that was it as regards affadavit of support.

Other docs for the interview are detailed in the guides and embassy web site

It moves at their pace so all you can do is be ready when they tell you. Not much else you can do to speed it up.

So my fiance scheduled his medical as soon as I got the LND number. It took Knightsbridge a week or so to get him in at a time that was convenient for him, so it worked out.

Check out the guide on here for London.... you can fill out most of the paperwork ahead of time... My fiance actually filled everything out and had everything submitted (DS-160 and readiness form) prior to receiving the "packet 3" letter :)

Affidavit of support: I provided a letter from my employer and copies of my W-2's. They didn't ask for anything else. (no photos, no further evidence of our relationship, just the employer letter & W-2s). I sent a whole lot of other stuff, bank statements, letter from bank, paystubs, IRS tax transcripts, but nothing else was asked for.

He should get his police certificate if he hasn't done that already (Will need that for medical anyway), ensure that there's at least 8 months on the passport, and that his passport is in good condition (My fiance used his as ID while on a student visa- it was in pretty rough shape so he renewed it - was also about a year out from expiring so wasn't too inconvenient - UK will credit you extra time from what I hear).

Good luck!
