Fact is, nobody has to get married at all. It's all up to the individual. But since the religious right is running out of steam on this and sees that they're - once again - on the losing end of history, the mustache needs to be brought into the debate. Gay marriage about adding freedom? It's more about force feeding a one way concept to a world and people who are unwilling to accept it the way its been packaged. Some people are on the fence, others are fully on board, and still others could care less. Thomas Jefferson said:

"Democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% of the people may take away the rights of the other 49%."

The people of one state or region may be all for it. The people of another state or region may not be. It could be for religious reasons, personal, political, or whatever. There is a haughty and putrid odor that emanates from the far left who behave as if they are enlightened, or in the know, or somehow have a better way. For now, the US is one of the most tolerant countries on earth regarding same sex relationships. When it comes to religious intolerance and gay relationships take a walk into the world of Islam. I can assure you they don't make cakes for gay couples in that society.

It's a strange concept of freedom indeed when lifting a ban on marriage for same sex couples is somehow taking away freedom. I suppose when the ban on marriage for interracial couples was lifted half a century ago, that was a reduction in freedom as well. Only in right wing nut job la-la-land...

Its not forcing anything. If you don't want to be in a gay marriage, you don't have to be. It doesn't affect you. If you think it means they're going to hell or something, fine. It still doesn't affect you.
