In my world is correct because its my opinion. Rules of my marriage are mutual fidelity albeit sexually, mentally, emotionally, whatever. If you actively cheat on your spouse, why be married to begin with? You clearly don't want to be dedicated to one person, which is whole idea of marriage in the way I understand it.

Everyone indeed has an opinion about it. So, reduce the complexity of the whole thing and allow the couple to decide the rules for their own marriage. However, once the man or woman crosses the line of domestic violence as defined by law, albeit physical or mental, emotional, or sexual, then let the justice system deal with it. PDA allowed only in prescribed areas. Bondage, dog collars allowed only in San Francisco unless otherwise accepted.

the purpose of marraige is for legal #######: insurance, estate planning, (and stupidly enough) immigration. all the love and commitment and sexytime stuff is uniquely individual and quite irrelevant to "marriage". my first marriage cost 20 bucks to obtain and 400 to divorce. none of the love/commitment/sexytime stuff mattered in the slightest to the institution of marraige from beginning to end. and when i paid for the divorce - all that mattered was having the cash in the bank for the check to clear and a legal witness to our separation.

eta: i keep saying carp* because i should obviously remember that this is a curse.
