Hey guys! I just sent Packet 3 on Saturday night and today I got Packet 4 emailed to me! :\ Not even ONE business day! I'm not sure if I should celebrate or be worried... Is it common? Does it mean they're gonna be hard on me during the next step?

I also have some questions regarding the medicals.

1) It says I should gather my medical history and previous chest x-rays? Exactly what should I look for. I finally found a family doctor here in Ottawa, ON last year and before that I used to go to walk in clinics if I needed to see a doctor. And I didn't get a chest x-ray done in years.

2) It asks for a list of vaccinations that I should get done and have a record. But the thing is I don't have my immunization records from when I was little. My parents lost it. However I did take Polio and other shots when I was little (I was born and raised in Bangladesh till I was 13). I got TDAP and MMR shots this year and got an immunization record started to prepare for the medicals. My question is What shots are must for me in this case. PS. I had chicken pox when I was little. Should I get Polio shot again?

3) I'm gonna go to Montreal to get my medicals done and I believe I have to get it done at. Do I call them to book appointment? At this is point, do I have a deadline to book for my medical?

4) Is it better to book medical exam and interview the same week or can I just get my medical done and book my interview in 2 weeks or so. Does the medicals expire after a certain time?

5) And lastly, I'm thinking of visiting my fiance. Is it going to be a problem? I'll have my NOA1, NOA2, NVC confirmation, DS-160 confirmation and Packet 4 email with me. Is there any chance they'd not let me in because Im in the process of getting a K1 visa? Would they have it in their system that I have applied for K1 visa?

I'm still freaking out over getting Packet 4 emailed in less than 1 business day..

Please and thank you for your time and help.

Be glad it only took a day!!

Okay so my fiance had no medical records either, here's what I had him do:

-Medical history: Do you have any medical problems? Do you take any medications? Have you had any surgeries? Do you have a clean record? Get that paperwork. Previous chest x-rays won't matter as long as you didn't have a condition that would warrant one. They'll do a chest x-ray at the medical.

-For the immunizations: It doesn't matter what you did when you were younger, the only shots that matter are the ones in your current age bracket. Mention that you've had chickenpox at the medical. You don't need another polio vaccine. If you need to get any shots just go to your family doctor and get them for free, no big deal if you haven't gotten them yet just bring proof to the medical that you just got them recently. Edit: I should mention that you should at least have some records of what you had when you were younger, my fiance got a titre test done at his family doctor to see what he was immune to, and brought that with him to the medical.

-If you're going to do the medical in Montreal you need to go to Medisys Health Group. Give about 2-3 weeks between the medical and the interview. Give them a call, get an appointment as soon as you can! Medicals are valid in Canada for one year I believe (at least 6 months), so you don't have to worry about it expiring.

-Theoretically you COULD visit. Bringing all the paperwork helps but don't throw it at them unless they ask for it. They should be able to see your pending K-1. It's at their discretion whether to let you in or not.

You're going to have an aneurysm if you keep freaking out over these things! Relax, this is all good.

Haha you got it right about aneurysm.. I'm probably the worst person when it comes to hyperactive anxiety! I feel bad for my friends :D

I just couldn't believe about Packet 4! It's just I'm not used to getting good things happen to me so fast.. I'm one of those terrible people who miss their flight even after arriving 3 hours earlier... true story

Okay so I won't need Hep A or B. Just a second round of MMR and flu shot. I didn't know about the Titre test! I'll ask my doctor about it. Should I book my interview first and then book the medical 2-3 weeks prior the interview date?

I can't believe how much I have bugged you in the last couple of days.. If you ever visit Houston after I make it *fingers crossed* the drinks are on me! Very grateful. Thank you.

My fiance got his medical in Toronto and they required the interview confirmation letter and Packet 4 (with the MTL case number), they wouldn't book an appointment for him without that. I would assume Montreal is the same way but I'm not 100% sure, it couldn't hurt to hold an interview spot for now, you could always change the date if you need to.

So yeah last night I was terribly lazy and tired and I didn't feel like googling the Medisys requirements :dead: but I just did it now so yes you do need to schedule your interview first, then print Packet 4 (make sure it has your MTL case #) and the CSC confirmation for the interview, you'll need to bring those to the medical.
