From the reaction from Justin's family I can see exactly why he didn't tell them. They are very negative people. They didn't even try to get to know her before making faces and rude comments. This journey is difficult enough without ur own family pulling u down. He knew his family. He knew the reaction they'd have. Why would u want to include that negativity in ur life events?

TV show likely forced it to happen.

I'm wondering how much of the racist father is scripted? I mean seriously in this day and age who could be so disconnected from reality that they don't realize that interracial marriages are pretty common in the USA.

I think it's completely scripted. I've read Jason and Cassia's tweets and he claims the pool was always clean and the crew put dye in it to make it look dirty. You can really tell that couple is acting in their scenes. Cassia claims on twitter that she loves both Jason and his dad very much.

The tension between the Filipina and her step daughter to be was obviously scripted too. I'm sure the producer told the little girl to lock her step mom out of the house in one scene.

We've pretty much lost interest in the show now.

Yep, I've seen the tweets also. I took care of swimming pools when I was going to school. It was pretty obvious the pool had been doctored to appear green. A real green pool doesn't look the way that one did.

Although I believe a fair amount has been scripted, I don't believe everything is scripted. The parts that are scripted tend to come off pretty stiff. These people are not actors.

I didn't really catch this on the first season but more on the 2nd season:

Does anyone notice that a couple people on that show mentioned that they were coming to the United States to "see how it works out" or "if they like America" or basically said "if I can stand my spouse and want to marry them"?

This is what irritates me, when you propose and decide to get married, you're supposed to get married cause you are "in love". When you go through the K1 visa, it's not a "let's see if if works out" type of thing or a trial run. Am I wrong with this theory? You're supposed to come to the U.S. - get married and that's that. After going through this process, with all the delays and what not, it's irritating that the work USCIS/NVC/Consulates do is wasted on the "let's see what happens" kind of couples - which how I look at it they are sorta keeping the couples that are truly in love away from each other longer than they have to be.

After seeing this I don't know how the K-1 visas are a lot harder to obtain.

A few of the couples this season kinda make my blood boil :ranting:

And a couple I don't even know how they made it through the process at all...

End rant :content:

Well why should he care about knowing any thing? He's already decided for himself and his wife that it is one place they will never visit.
