October and waiting...

Remember too, Kinsey, that some people never show a touch or the NOA2 online (or via email) - then suddenly get the NOA2 in snail mail. Heishe springs to mind as the most recent case of this. I believe she saw the approval online a few WEEKS after she got NOA2 in the mail. Obviously its not a perfect system.

Especially as many don't even sign up for email alerts or check online.

Well another night has passed and I'm without an approval. I know some people don't usually see an online update, but it seems to be a rarity.

How long do I have to wait before I can be officially ticked off?

Even if everyone else was approved for October and most of November was done (I do realize, of course, that VJers are not the only people applying), I still couldn't complain, could I? I can't gripe until the stupid date on that site reads October, right?

I know I don't need a "touch" to get an approval, but at this point, I'd settle for that just to have something happen.

Thanks to all you who wrote in. On the one hand it was comforting to know you all cared enough to post, but it also sucked to see that I am nearly the only one left waiting.

I know there is not much anyone of us can do to make you feel a whole lot better but yesterday there were 7 reported NOA2. Five of them were with date previous to yours (10/13,10/19,10/24,10/24 & 10/27). Hang in there.

YMMV

Thanks so much, it means a lot. When I first started seeing NOA2's I never thought there was a chance of me being dead last, but it's slowly creeping up on me.

fwaguy, if you get your NOA2 before me, I'll send out a huuuuge congratulations (but it will probably taste a little bitter!)

:innocent:

Best of luck to all those waiting and thanks for your support.

:)

Good research there from fwaguy on the other October NOA1ers. That alone wouldn't make me panic yet, but I know its got to be discomforting to you to see Nov filers getting NOA2s before you. Obviously there is no rhyme nor reason to any of this...!

How long do I have to wait before I can be officially ticked off?

We understand all the facts but I still think we have the right to be ticked off RIGHT NOW. My mailbox was totally empty yesterday. Just the thought that I might have a month wait AFTER I send in the RFE, which hasn't even arrived yet, is terribly frustrating.

Since the last thread started by and for October NOA1s still waiting, it appears as though I'm the only October (regular poster) who is still waiting.

:(

Hmm . . . I wasn't aware of such a thread. Don't believe that I ever posted there. I also do not think of myself as a (regular poster).

I did the same thing as you when I started seeing November and December filers being approved before us. I thought for sure that it meant an RFE or that we filled out the paperwork incorrectly and we get to start again and pay again.

And I wonder about that thing of USCIS that says that they are now processing files whose receipt date is July 17 and before---because if that is true, how coud we have been approved? But, I am new to all of this and perhaps I am mixing apples and oranges.

However, I feel that you should vent whenever you need to vent. It is physically unhealthy not to do so. :)
