Iraq was behind 9-11? I guess I missed the press meeting.

The crusades were a long time ago, yes, but that still doesn't mean it was done in the name of the christian God and that many atrocities were not committed.

I know I'm going to get ###### for this, but St Patrick murdered many druids of Ireland in the name of the catholic church. History, of course, doesn't see it this way.

not by me..druids are cool....

The crusades were nearly a thousand years ago, and were a response to Muslim aggression, invasion, forced conversion, etc. By the 1500s, the Islamic invaders had Europe in a vice grip. Fortunately, they ulitimately failed in their conquest.

That's a little revisionist, to be fair. To correct you slightly, during the Dark Ages, the islamic world was actually a major cultural centre, which has contributed significantly to the subsequent european enlightenment.

Your statement about Islamic culture at the time may be true, but it doesn't make what I said "revisionist." Are you saying the Muslims did not in fact attempt to conquer Europe? And please tell me what happened to the Christian civilizations of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Minor?

and you are saying all the chrisitan kings of england..france...etc..were peaceful loving their fellow man or toturing and raping and pillaging each other's land ...the spanish inquistion..a message of love...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Nope, not saying that at all. There were many things done during those times, including during the Crusades, that were far from Christian. But I am not hearing Muslims condemning the Muslims who spread Islam by force before, during and after the Crusades, wiping out huge swaths of Christian civilization in the process. It is long past time for the Muslim world to do some serious self-examination, and to cease blaming everyone else for their problems.

"It is long past time for the Muslim world to do some serious self-examination, and to cease blaming everyone else for their problems."

I think you like to contradict yourself because as i recall, you stated that nobody is judging all Muslims , or Muslims as a People... What do you think you're doing now?

It's funny to me how alot of people on here who start topics or just post, have nothing better to do than to bash Muslims. And it's funnier to see these people coming back again and again and again to post something.. No need for names.

Did the Chinese people do anything wrong to be deported from Canada over 50 yrs ago, or to be put in cages when they were here in the U.S.? No. Neither did the Muslims for anybody to be misjudging them, especially you, who should know how it feels to be discriminated upon, or to have your people discriminated upon!! And in case you are not chinese, then you should be more understanding as you are married to one! Those that are doing any wrong are doing it in the name of God, TO JUSTIFY THEIR ACTIONS, but don't we have brains to know that there are bad people in every religion?

This is pointless for me to try to explain something to people who are so misinformed and close minded..

Ill throw my two uneducated cents in if I dare, my obsrvances and opinion:

I have worked with people all over the world: Iraqis, Indians, Saudis, Algerians, Africans, Venuezuelans, Brasilians ( How I met my fiance) ect ect.

Most people just want to get along and are just people- want to make a living. Thats it. Ill pick one country in question - Iraqis whether muslim or cath or whatever. . . - just want to go out an make a living for their families and coexist, and are running a little scared- thats it !- the rest are just a small group of fanatics fueled by hate, press coverage, and violence.

dont know much about history: it is always the other sides fault. Muslims and crusaders were both to fault. Surely this is the downfall of us all - hatred and vengance for and from mankind.

Shitler was at the right place at the right time- economic depression after ww1 and took advantage. Plain and simple - extortion, fear and promise everyone the moon, the grass is greener on the other side. "follow me to a better life" (paraphrased of course).

I try not to judge anyone or any race for fear that someone may judge me or mi raza.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

The Evangelist guy is still mentally masturbating. Do not you have anything else to do? Go to Hong Kong and spread your nonsense. If Hong Kong is already 'blessed' then go to Korea. Well it may be already blessed too. Go to Israel and spread it wide. Then again Israelis are already blessed by Evangelists. Not only blessed but also worshipped. When do you think is the date and time of your personal apocalypse?

I am now a US citizen.

To be fair though most christians have not apologised for spreading christianity by force during and after the crusades. After all, what happened to the indigenous peoples of the americas, who were forcibly converted by the invading European powers?

For the same reason most italians wouldn't (and shouldn't) apologise to the people's of Europe for the actions of the roman empire - because it was a very very long time ago, and we live in a different world now. It's not really fair to judge the ancient world by the moral standards of the present.

I don't think we in the western world really have any right to feel superior to those of other nations and cultures, that's a soft form of racism IMO. Hatred and aggression don't exist in a vacuum, regardless of how unjustified we consider it.

Certainly there does have to be some sort of self-examination in the muslim world, but can Europe and America really say different?

We are still involving ourselves (often violently) in the affairs of nations far beyond our borders. Iraq was a travesty, an extension of the same travesty by which we armed and empowered Saddam in the first place.
