Hello everyone,

I have a question that maybe you guys can help with...I am a green card holder and I will be travelling in November for two weeks to home country to visit my family. I will be returning the US on 12/08/14 and my passport expires on 06/02/15. I read on some places that you need six months prior to the expiration date on your passport by the time you arrive in the US. I also read that there is a list of countries exempt of this requirement (my home country is exempt). Anyways, does this requirement apply to LPR's or is just for visitors?.

Renewing my passport before leaving is a royal pain.. i Live in Orlando and I should have to travel to Miami two time (one to apply and one to pick up the passport)

Any input will be more than welcome.

Thank you all,
