Hi Janelle2002,

Good stuff, thanks for forwarding the link. If you could, please make mention of the other efforts we've made to date, including a question that was posed to the director of the USCIS. We've been doing a lot on the Fiance Visa side of things that perhaps you aren't aware of. Maybe include links in the channel? I dunno, whatever you think appropriate. The majority of this isn't about the general wait, it is in regard to the incredibly, unbelievably, astonishingly, ridiculously, almost-seemingly-criminal processing time difference for the I-129F between the CSC and the TSC. So it isn't a "hey, could you hurry things up?" so much as it is a "hey, could you make things fair?" type of argument that we've been making to-date.

That said, all of this content is very relevant. Anyway, here are the threads:

Hi Jerry,

I added this under our videos that we have so far. Is there another place you would like for me to add your Tumblr link?

"America, where is my spouse? Many Americans and Permanent residents are suffering without their spouses and children while they are stuck in the immigration system. They have done everything the government, USCIS and the Consulate abroad, has asked them to do but it is yielding no results.

Help us make processing times at USCIS service centers more fair.

Yup. Hearings like that are to push their agenda. The processing time discrepancy just isn't a priority or a talking point since it doesn't really hit home to most people. Budgets and illegal immigration do.

Without congressional pressure, it's unlikely for that to change. That's why it's important to push the congressmen and senators and not to give up when they say no. My original "case" with my congressman was closed until I demanded they do more due diligence.

We both found watching it fascinating and disgusting at the same time. I think it's clear the USCIS gentlemen testifying were at times nervous and evasive. Now that I hear Mikulski is retiring I wonder if her office will still be actually putting in any serious effort to take a look at constituent's cases anymore. Nevertheless, I have given her an eyeful to consider. I'm pleased at least you're getting somewhere with your congressman.

Well there is a bit of an update, but no revelation of any type. Yet. My letter to the White House has received a response through Stef's contact. The response, in summary, is that the USCIS says that there is no problem with I-129F processing times. So it's more of the same. Stef's contact was reportedly hacked off at the way both he and we were treated when we raised this issue. Therefore he has said that he will try other means to affect change. We're gonna touch base with him again early next week.

I'll keep everyone updated......

Not surprising. I'd considered sending a letter to the President myself, but assumed the response would be more of the same stonewall canned response. If only my cousin were still alive, I'd have a slight upper hand in getting messages to where they need to go on the Hill. Definitely keep trying, and don't give up. I suspect though you'll be well approved before any helpful response ever came into fruition.

Hi Janelle,

Ok thank you. I've conferred with the other Skunkworks team members and we should have a video for your channel by tomorrow. I think it better if one of the female members of the team make the video, as my mug is just too ugly to put out there. LOL

Thanks again, we'll get back to you.

Well if KD can't find the time tomorrow, we may need to go that direction. Either way we made a commitment to get you something and so we'll follow through.

Thanks

Janelle and I exchanged email tonight regarding the name of the channel. I suggested that she consider changing the name to include fiance and she did that. So it reflects both sides of the fence now, which is cool. Thanks Janelle!

Responding to the standard claim that "All service centers are subject to delays and there is no appreciable discrepancy between the CSC and the TSC".

This statement seems to be the standard reply whenever an official is questioned about the processing time discrepancy. End of story. You are all crazy to think there is a discrepancy. We see nothing. Naaa naaa naaa!!!

I will try to do a bit of data mining tomorrow but something along the lines of ...

Well ... According to an independent crowdsourcing website we have collected statistics on 250 adjudicated applications over the past 60 days. Of those 250 applications, 130 were processed through the TSC and 120 were processed through the CSC. Of the 130 files that were processed through the TSC over the past 60 days, 70 were filed in June 2014, 50 were from July 2014 and 10 were from August of 2014. Of the 120 files that were processed in the CSC over the past 60 days, 20 were initially filed in December 2014, 70 were from January 2015, and 30 were from February 2015. The USCIS must have records of file submission and adjudication dates, tell us ... What percentage of the adjudicated files processed at the CSC during the month of February were initially submitted in July 2014 or August 2014? What percentage of the adjudicated files processed at the TSC during the month of February were initially submitted in July 2014 or August 2014?

Can we get an answer to just one follow up question?

Well there was mention in the email from the contact we had in the hearing yesterday that follow up questions would be submitted after the hearing adjourned. Presumably our question was among them.
