Oh boy. When are people gonna get it? I don't know. Yes of course, as stated in many posts in many threads and in my letter to the President, there has always been a difference in processing times between service centers. As stated ad nauseum by now, that is NOT the complaint. The complaint has been, from day one (1), in regard to THE MAGNITUDE of the processing time difference. We've made that clear on several occasions, and we have made it clear that rarely has THE MAGNITUDE of the time imbalance been this great. I looked back into history quite a ways and couldn't find anything to match or exceed it.

But I digress. Sigh.

I agree and I think part of the point is to not only rectify the current problem but also put into place something that would prevent it from happening again. There is already a 5 month goal set for the processing centers to process the I-129f which TSC currently is unable to do yet CSC can do in less than 60 days. There should be something in place to to prevent this, there are several options that would solve this problem and are as simple as transferring cases to even out to workload on a regular basis which for some unknown reason the USCIS is currently refusing to do. I am rather new to this process myself but working in the legal field have worked with others and seen the trend getting worse in regards to processing times, hoops being jumped through and unnecessary delays due to errors. People don't want to talk about or deal with legal immigration though, its the illegal controversial topics they want to cover, leaving us with no one to hear our voices no matter how loud we yell. I too haven't given up though I have even resorted to replying to those campaign emails I get with how much it disgusts me that Congress is spending some much time on illegal immigrants before addressing those stuck in the process of legal immigration. Im fairly sure no one reads them but one day when someone checks it and sees I've replied to each of the emails they send me daily im sure they will get a laugh.

I think this is a good point, and started me thinking. Has anyone ever reached out to someone who used to work at the Texas Service Center through something like LinkedIn? Maybe it would be worth informally asking them some of these questions, or is it likely they won't say anything? Maybe something like a Reddit AMA?

My thought is if we could hear what is going on from them, we might be able to throw our support in the right direction with writing Congressmen ect...maybe there is something we are missing? I wouldn't be surprised if people processing the forms are just as frustrated with the time discrepancies as us.

As a former civil servant, I have no doubt that the folk at the TSC are as frustrated with the process as we are. However, as mentioned on several occasions, members of congress and the senate have very little influence with the USCIS these days.

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

Ok, fair enough, but they could know something we don't know. Something we could be doing, or wish people knew about the process/service centers?

Well hmmmmmm...virtually anything is possible I suppose. However not practically. The reality is that there isn't much else we can be doing, save complaining to whomever will listen, which isn't that many folk really. Point being that many reps don't know that much about the process and their offices know even less usually, or at least those who respond to our calls, emails and letters.

I mean, it seems to me that you might be bypassing one important complaint that many of us have WRT this whole process, and that is that there is almost no recourse that petitioners have in regard to receiving and/or getting service from the USCIS. The immigration business is an ideal model when viewed from a certain perspective: people pay you up front for your service, they pay hefty fees, you can just tell them to wait (and do so rudely sometimes), they can do nothing but wait as you instructed, they cannot and do not request a refund, and no one can tell you to hurry up and provide the service that they already paid for.

I am sure they are frustrated I'm not sure I would go as far to say they are as frustrated as we are though. I too spoke to my local congressman's office, not in regards to the processing times(it was brought up but not the main point of my call), I called because I had requested an expedite and the very next day back to back with few seconds in between I received notices that it was assigned looked at and rejected which told me that it as assigned not looked at or rejected. I knew it was a long shot but I thought my requested at least deserved a full minute of someones times. My local Congressman though seems to take the loss of jobs more seriously and is going to try but they are not hopeful either.

Just for some background I own a small business and have 11 employees that work for me, once I found out how long this process was going to take without any extra DACA or DAPA delays I have been looking into going and staying with my fiance in Dubai until we can get the visa, this would mean me closing my office and leaving 11 people without jobs, as a human being I thought our government would actually care about this and see it as a reason to expedite the case but I was wrong. I thought long and hard and felt horrible about even considering this, I still feel bad that Im most likely going to do this and have already lessened peoples hours and have been taking on fewer new clients to make sure when I am ready that it wont take me long to complete what is needed. I have a trip planned in 2 weeks to go and find a place and when I come back if I don't see any ray of hope I will be moving to Dubai for a couple of months.

I can tell you that here in Florida a complaint like this about a business would go to the department of agriculture, they deal with consumer complaints. I wonder if this could be considered a consumer complaint.

Let it go.

Hi there :) not sure who you are but no need to be rude. I bust my ### behind the scenes and normally stay out of the forums but after my long thread of emails I wanted to say...

I don't see this as a fight for myself but for everyone and for future applicants. This is something that I'm willing to follow through on till I see change as it affects students that I work with also.

So either be nice and hang out or don't say anything. I understand and will never knock a different point of view, but I think that the point of being on here is to gain strengh and hope from the people that are also going through a common obsticle.

11/15/2013- Met John

yllas025,

We all feel your grief and can empathize. As I mentioned, I used to work for the federal government and while I agree that the TSC isn't as frustrated as we are in the same way, those who care about the work that they do are indeed as frustrated. For different reasons. I know because I've been there. But anyway...

Sorry to hear that you'll be laying off folk. I see that you filed in January. Well yeah, unfortunately you are in for a long wait. You might see something by August, but if things continue to slow down, maybe not even then. When you do return with your fiance, could you re-employ those 11 people again?

I'm busting my ### as well. I'm the first one in the thread to even reach out to my representation. I'm still in constant contact with one of them. Do we really need to turn this into a game of who is doing more?

My "drop it" statement was directed at the negativity comment that was obviously directed at me, not at the effort being put in.

I'm not sure who you are either. Not sure what the means or adds to it, but there you go.

You're right, no battles on who's doing more. All that matters is that people are doing something.

I could remploy them and will absolutely do so if they have not already found other jobs, They all have families and children to support so I hate to think about the fact that with the current job market that they will all likely still be looking for jobs when I get back. I had a whole packet of evidence to send in to back up my request including information on my employees and their spouses and children which showed that by my closing the office its not 11 individuals being affected by 11 workers who support 11 spouses(all unemployed) and 13 children, I can handle my financial impact because this is my decision but I am torn on how its going to affect the other. Everytime I put it in writing I feel like a complete B**ch for even considering this. But like you said currently if things dont slow down Ill be lucky to see an NOA2 by August and the average Abu Dhabi interview is 80 days from when it reaches the embassy, with any more delays I would be lucky for him to have his Visa this time next year.

Meh, Didn't imagine it would take this long for the process. I would have applied a couple months sooner if I'd have known. My fault for not researching enough.

I'm in a very different situation than most other filers in here I think. I live in Poland with my Polish fiance. I've been denied a renewal of my residency due to some changes in the self employment residency laws. Anyway I appealed the decision and should have a final answer from Polish immigration in another day or two. THis has been an exhausting 6 month process of red tape for my residency. I expect my appeal to be denied after which I'll have 30 days to leave Poland. What I plan on doing is flying to London for a weekend at the end of March with my fiance and them coming back to Poland under a tourist stamp rather than my expired residency. That will give me 90 days here and take my to the end of June.

I have my NOA1 from the end of September so I'm hoping for an NOA2 in April sometime. Add on a month to a month and a half for it to get to the embassy in Warsaw, get an interview (almost no wait here) and a medical and get that visa. So I'm looking at hopefully getting the visa for her just before I have to leave the country. Cutting it close.

Worst case if it takes longer I have back to the US and get a job and my fiance goes and stays with her Parents for a month or so and then joins me soon after. I'd be shocked if we don't have the visa in hand by July/August but then again it is the US government...Thankfully a lot better than many people have to deal with who are apart for the entire process.

HI,

Did you had any news about your RFE?

The letter actually just arrived today.

Let's just say that there was significant information missing from the package. We had it all gathered but someone thought that it wasn't really necessary to send it all in.

We are actively working to correct the situation.
