Please review these YouTube videos we have started on "America, where is my spouse?" I am more than happy to change the title so it can include fiancés as well. We want to create awareness about this process and the suffering we are going through. I would love for some people who are stuck in AP to do a video for the channel as well.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg5UJltyO6dwPf8HqZBzjUA

We are discussing the topic here on VJ. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/538678-march-2015-support-and-rant/page-4#entry7503097

Let's band together and support each other.

Thanks. That was great.

You are quite welcome.

Hi Janelle2002,

Good stuff, thanks for forwarding the link. If you could, please make mention of the other efforts we've made to date, including a question that was posed to the director of the USCIS. We've been doing a lot on the Fiance Visa side of things that perhaps you aren't aware of. Maybe include links in the channel? I dunno, whatever you think appropriate. The majority of this isn't about the general wait, it is in regard to the incredibly, unbelievably, astonishingly, ridiculously, almost-seemingly-criminal processing time difference for the I-129F between the CSC and the TSC. So it isn't a "hey, could you hurry things up?" so much as it is a "hey, could you make things fair?" type of argument that we've been making to-date.

That said, all of this content is very relevant. Anyway, here are the threads:

Av8or1,

Do you have a video on YouTube? If not, can you make one and talk about the K1 efforts on our youtube channel? And then I can also add all of your links to our channel, please? Since I don't know much about the K1 process.

Kind regards,

Monica

What are skunkworks crews?

I love the idea of our collaboration!! Wooo!! Yippy!

The skunkworks crew is:

av8or1 (Jerry)

KristinD (Kristin)

April+Daniel (April)

stef_curls (Stef)

We formed a pseudo-offline group to proactively take action beyond writing congressmen/women and senators such as writing letters to the White House, contacting the USCIS Omsbudsman, etc. We came together in this manner because of the negativity expressed in the forum regarding the likely outcome of our efforts. We were aware of such probable outcome, but wanted to proceed anyway without such negativity. And so we went offline with much of our conversation. Being an engineer, pilot and aviation enthusiast, I dubbed us the skunkworks crew/team, which of course is paying homage to the real skunkworks team that developed the SR-71 Blackbird and other advanced aviation technology in high secrecy in the deserts around Palmdale, California.

I've sent texts to the crew and we'll come up with something and get back to you.

Thanks!

Jerry

Ahaaaaaa

Yes, the comments can be so discouraging. I completely understand, but I am determined not to let that hold me back. You have a new person on your side to help advocate for our cause. You have an awesome team put together.

Thanks

I didn't mention you specifically.

You didn't need to. You are being passive aggressive over this. Move on.

You brought it up again. Like I figured you'd do. Sheesh

Isn't that basically mentioning me specifically...just passive aggressively?

The only negativity I've expressed here is the obvious. Sending letters to the white house isn't going to get anywhere. That said, it obviously doesn't hurt anything. Don't expect anything though. The executive branch can't do much about it anyways. Perhaps sending your packet to every senator and congressman would be a better use of time and resources. The chances of those getting into the right hands are much higher.

Plus, those are the people who actually deal with those offices on a regular basis.

Being realistic about the process is an important part of being objective and doing a good job with it.

As for the youtube videos, I think that's a great idea. I'd suggest sending them to the media as well. Maybe someone will have a heart.

The problem with addressing the imbalance between the service centers is that there have been fluctuations in processing times throughout the years (based on anecdotes). Who is to say that the CSC won't slow down a couple of years from now? In general, I think advocating for lower processing times in general (5 months total for fiance visas) and (9 months for marriage visas) would be the way to address the issue. Getting Congress to shorten processing times on fiance and marriage visas seems to be a less complicated, straightforward goal. Once you start talking about service centers, I think people's brains begin to shut down.

Oh boy. When are people gonna get it? I don't know. Yes of course, as stated in many posts in many threads and in my letter to the President, there has always been a difference in processing times between service centers. As stated ad nauseum by now, that is NOT the complaint. The complaint has been, from day one (1), in regard to THE MAGNITUDE of the processing time difference. We've made that clear on several occasions, and we have made it clear that rarely has THE MAGNITUDE of the time imbalance been this great. I looked back into history quite a ways and couldn't find anything to match or exceed it.

But I digress. Sigh.

No pfredericksen, I WAS NOT and AM NOT being passive aggressive towards you in anyway. You're making all of that ####### up in your own twisted sense of ... I dunno, whatever it is.

The fact is that you were not the only one who was negative. You called it realistic but it was negative. For the final time, stop accusing me of things that I am NOT doing. All such accusation and associated commentary IS NEGATIVE, in case you aren't understanding that.

I digress again. I wish there was a way to mute all of your stuff cause it is confrontational, unreasonably defensive and unhelpful.
