Hi everyone, well although there's only two days left before visiting my love my emotions are in the pitts. My third trip back since I filed and to have nothing is just so damn upsetting. I honestly thought after being told by my congressional office a few weeks ago that my case had been assigned to someone I would have heard something by now but nope nada zero. What kills me is this really will be last trip for a while because financially I can't keep traveling back and worth with all the expenses that ahead for us. I am also self employed so every time I leave I am losing money. UGH I digress. My question is how long is the AOS process? Is it a year to get the green card? Also how soon will he be able to file for Citizenship after that?

How is your trip? August filers are starting to get approved. The end is near.

Congrats on the RFE. As soon as you get it send the info immediately. Your file is being looked at and will be approved shortly upon sending in the required info.

You just made my weekend :') It's not an approval, however it's nice to see a fellow September filer getting looked at. I hope you get you RFE squared away and a fast approval. Let us know how things go :)

Got an email from Senator Kaine's caseworker;

Good afternoon,

Thank you for contacting our office in regards to your concerns about the K-1 visa backlog with Texas Service Center. I certainly understand the frustration and you are not the first to encounter challenges.

Do you have a particular case on which you would also like assistance? While I will make sure to convey your thoughts to USCIS and DHS, I also can provide some assistance if you have a pending K-1. We are not able to submit expedite requests due to the protocol set by USCIS, but we can assist on the administrative level with getting a status update, reaching a liaison at the center, getting a high level review of the situation, etc.

If this is something you would like to look into further, please do not hesitate to contact me. As I work on these cases daily, I have myself experienced the frustration of backlogged cases of all types. It has been a challenges time for many on our constituents.

While we did send the emails out to highlight the difference between the two service centers and not to actually inquiry about our case, it's nice to see a thoughtful email even though I'm sure nothing will come out of it.
