Hey guys! Woah everyone's in a pretty heavy topic here huh? ?????

Anyways! I thought I'd lighten things up and give you all an update on my life lol. My fiancé and I decided we're giving up on the fiance visa. He booked his ticket and I got an apartment and he'll be here in 10 days! We've decided to move to germany and after university we'll reapply but under DCF, as many WONDERFUL people pointed out! We've both talked it over with our parents, and they're okay with the idea as well. My fiancé's mom actually wants to move back to Montreal and my parents are also considering moving back to germany. We'll keep the visa running for now, just in case I do happen to get the visa and what nots, but it's really not our main goal or focus anymore. We just want to get settled into our new home ?. I wish everyone here good luck, and I hope you all find your ways soon!! ?⭐️

Good luck wish you well.

Good Monday morning everyone so I don't know if any of you have read any of the other blogs but apparently TSC is now only sending out NOA2 in the mail with no update to the site. SMH just when I think it can't get any worst. So now I will need to start checking my PO BOX every single day from here on out. This process has added about 15 years to my life. I've started developing grey hairs all of a sudden:D:D. So on a side note there's 4 days until my trip God knows I this this trip 2 weeks with him not worrying about USCIS and the foolishness going on at TSC. Only down side is leaving last time I broke down at the airport so I'm hoping I can keep it together.

Ok I'm curious about something: how are y'alls other halves (to-be anyway) handling all of this mess? Have you told them of the processing times difference?

I ask because I noticed a change in Elena a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned this in a previous post, but she's started to inquire about it more often. Not everyday or even every few days because she understands that we will need to wait longer. That said, she does ask, which is something she never used to do. It's almost like she's lost a bit of faith that it'll happen in time for us to return together as a family...

Anyway, just curious...

She's been really patient through the process. She knew going in that it would take a while. She's also taking the opportunity to spend a lot of time with her family. That said, it's still really frustrating for both of us. We just want the process over.

Well, I can only speak for me, as the overseas fiancee who is pretty much handling all the process as my better half-to-be doesn't really click with paperwork...

I did all the research and filled all the forms for our application, so sadly I was aware of what was gonna happen - still, it stresses me out. I've had a meltdown about the fact that I can't plan for my big move as long as we are held hostage by USCIS. My USC fiance is reasonably relaxed - that is just the way he is generally and I probably know way more about the intricacies of the process by now than he does - but he shares my frustration at not being able to make firm wedding/honeymoon plans.

It's almost like 2015 is a wasted year for us, just spent waiting on USCIS...

For the approvals not showing online, I have seen maybe 4-5 people reporting this, e.g.:

Well when we started the process I told him give a take it would take about 5 months to get approved but back in December I did inform him of the delays at TSC. He to has now started asking me more than he use to. Both of our lives are on hold because there's a lot things that need to be done and can't be done until we know what in the world USCIS is going to do. I need to move and he has school so many things to decide. He has already sacrifice a lot he move to the capital to be closer to the US Embassy and so on this is just a mess. Although he's not complaining I know he's very frustrated.

I see one person saying that, but no others? I'm not so sure it's a pattern.

It may be due to the site having been down for maintenance. I wonder if it's just a technical issue which is causing TSC to mail out the applications faster than they were after approval when the online system was working. It's hard to say just yet because with the long weekend we can't see if things are up and running again until the new work week has commenced. I'm reserving my opinion on this until we see something more official. Although it's TSC we are dealing with, the website we all signed up to for monitoring our cases is the USCIS one so it wouldn't make sense for one service center to opt out while the others still use it.

It's almost like she's lost a bit of faith that it'll happen in time for us to return together as a family...

Anyway, just curious...

Ups and downs, like most everyone, I think. I am the 'other half' (I'm the beneficiary). We have done absolutely everything together on this entire journey and we both post on here so we are both well appraised of everything (or lack thereof) which is going on. The not knowing seems to be what gets to everyone the most, after the worst part, which is being apart indefinitely.

Well, I can only speak for me, as the overseas fiancee who is pretty much handling all the process as my better half-to-be doesn't really click with paperwork...

I did all the research and filled all the forms for our application, so sadly I was aware of what was gonna happen - still, it stresses me out. Yes, it's like 8 months of our lives we will never get back! What made it even worse is that when we started this process, the wait times were not nearly as bad as they are now and the average processing time for TSC was around 4.5 - 5 months, which then seemed like an eternity. So we braced ourselves for that. We didn't expect to be sitting here pushing seven months later and still no word. It is impossible to live your life when you are in limbo like this. I don't think there is too much longer for us to wait, but every day is still one day TSC has robbed us of time we could be spending together.

Daniel is the calm, collected one. He's my rock when I get upset about this process. He knows what's going on because I tell him, but it doesn't stress him out like it does me. He stays strong for me. He's also using this time to spend more time with his family and friends and going to more footy games. He's making good use of the extra wait and I'm glad for that. I try to bury myself in work and my family to pass the time.

Av8or, I think Elena is probably growing impatient as the due date gets closer. She's anxious to have this move along so you can make solid plans for the baby. That's my take on it, at least.

Yeah I suspect so. With her it's more worry than impatience I think, but what's the diff really. What's sad is that we're already making contingency plans for the possibility that I must return home alone, leaving them behind. Not fun, lemme tell ya what.

Overall we're like everyone else. We don't get upset about the wait, it's the time difference that hacks us off. Well I should say that hacks me off, she is more focused on our son than anything. She kinda just spot checks on it whereas before she never asked. So it got me thinking and I thought it'd be interesting to see how everyone else is doing with it.

Funny, but even the doctors asked her about the fiancé visa today when she went in for her latest appointment. And of course her family inquires regularly. They thought it might have something to do with the Ukraine business, but we them no, that beneficiaries from all countries are experiencing the same BS.

Anyway.

It starts to get annoying when people ask about it all the time. Sometimes I sense a hint of doubt in their inquiries, as if they believe the petition is shelved or something has gone horribly wrong
