Are September filers basically "next up?" Or are there still a batch of TSC petitioners waiting even longer than you guys?

I must say many VJers here are handling this well. It's also healthy to come here and vent, as well as support each other. Hopefully everything will work out soon, as the 5-month period is coming up for September filers.

No, sadly not. There are still a number of June filers around and more than half of July filers. August has not even begun processing in earnest. Looks like September filers will wait at least another couple of months. Basically zero progress this week so far.

Woke up this morning and read my vj email notifications, as has become my morning ritual. So sad and cool at the same time to see several posts that describe all the same thoughts and feelings I'm having. It hurts that so many of us are going through this but it helps so much to know that I'm not alone. So as I woke with a migraine, my head doesn't feel any better but I feel just a little less alone.

And yeah, totally disappointing progress so far this week. It's totally perplexing. Last few weeks seemed to see more progress than I've ever seen then this. What happened TSC?

Ok I cannot take this anymore! I just heard that someone applies in January and is already approved! What is going on? When I was filing everyone told me that the max it would take is 5-6 months but 3 more? Are you serious? 8-9 months? That is extremely unfair to all the people who had the MISFORTUNE or BAD LUCK to get TCS as their center. I cannot even start planning what my fiance and I are going to do for our honeymoon or anything. This is annoying. I am sorry everyone but I have been waiting patiently for more than 5 months and that's it. I'm losing it! Thanks for having such a great forum, at least I know people understand me.

Yes, 8-9 months is what we can expect. Blueblood and others, PLEASE STOP QUOTING 5 MONTHS! That is a thing of the past. Sure, the USCIS's official position is that all service centers are processing the I-129F in 5 months, but as I proved in my letter that is incorrect. I proved that an 8-to-1 ratio exists between the two service centers. Heck, I turned 5 months yesterday, which means that I can probably expect another 3, as TabeaK mentioned, which puts me at early May for my approval. That means that in my particular case, we won't get the NOA1 until after the birth of our son. Which means that there is a good chance I'll have to leave them behind when I return to TEXAS. Hell, why do you think I've been pushing so hard, writing to everyone under the sun? Because I have extreme motivation and because we all have the likelihood of an even longer wait time as the backlog at the TSC will probably increase, if anything.

Sorry for the rant, you're not the target, but STOP QUOTING 5 MONTHS PLEASE! Thanks...LOL :D :D :D

People are quoting 5 months because that is USCIS's official position. That's all we have to go by except for the very small sample size represented here. Timelines on this site need to be taken with a grain of salt.

I realize that pfrederiksen, but as I just stated, I (and we) have proved that incorrect, so STOP IT! :D :D :D

And it's not the timelines that folk can poke holes at, you only need to consider the processing date on the USCIS's own website. As of yesterday that is June 25 (effective 12/31/2014). Do the math. In two weeks that is 8 months. And don't go on and on about the effective date BS. I know it's consistently 2 months out-of-date, but that is the date that they use to enforce their rule of not helping when a petitioner complains. That is, they use this date to tell you whether or not you are in the "normal processing times" window when you call, so who cares if it's 2 months out-of-date, that is what is being used. "The TSC is processing I-129F petitions as of June 25, 2014" is what you will be told. Do the math, 8 months, not 5!

Ok enough. Sorry for the continued rant.

I suggest not being passive aggressive about everything.

The only proof anyone has is a small sample size on this site. Sure, the 5 month processing time is likely wrong, but there is no proof of it.

I'm just wondering, if TSC did happen to transfer half of their cases over to CSC, what are the consequences for them and us?

Nothing passive about me ... but whichever, I digress. The proof, as I edited my previous post with is on their very own website. But I digress again.

Gonna go do some work now. We shouldn't be snapping at each other. Enough with the rants......for now! LOL :D :D :D

ps-Ok, sorry again for continuing, but I cannot let the whole "there's no proof of it" and the general knock against the VJ data go without shooting such argument down with both barrels, as I did in my letter. Granted, I live in the stats space, so I have a bit of an advantage, but as that June filer (the data scientist) would likely agree, most of the time when proving a theorem you don't present the entire data set to make your argument. Instead, you take a sample of that data (what is called a "representative data set"), see what it tells you and then make your argument from that. Ergo, you don't need all of the data to make your point. And it was/is my contention that the amount of data found on VJ constitutes an acceptable large sample of data; enough to be representative of our problem and enough to make the argument with.

Ok NOW I'm done. LOL

Yeah, but the USCIS has said that all service centers are reporting 5 months processing times for the I-129F. So either the USCIS HQ or the TSC was fibbing when that report came out. Take your pick. LOL
