Has anyone thought to go to the media about this? Media tends to bring more widespread attention. I'd do it, but I work in media which would be slightly unethical.

That might be a bit hard.. I wonder how we could get on the media.

She said that it's taking about 8 to 9 months she said to be approved.

I'm going to have a heart attack. I can just see myself flipping burgers forever.

Btw other family members and my health club, I listen to/watch CNN, Fox, and NPR daily. THEY DON'T CARE. They all only care that the people who don't follow the law are treated as well as possible and are "brought out from the shadows" as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, all of us put our lives on long-term hold to be with our loved ones....

the media doesn't care. The predominant feeling is that "oh, you are lucky, because you aren't hiding in the shadows" or

you can just get married how lucky it is to be engaged to a US Citizen.

?????? yeah I'm soooooooooo "lucky". I feel like I legit have to beg for anything I want, why can't we just be civil and help each other out.. Like everywhere else in the world.. Why do I have to go on my hands and knees and beg..? It makes me not even want to go back home.

If you don't try, then you'll never know.

Immigration is a pretty hot topic right now. I think you'd be surprised. Outside pressure works better than angry emails to government employees that don't care.

Ethline-

When you first posted about your visit and results, I thought about replying with a word of caution regarding believing what you were told, but decided not to do so. Hoping instead that at least *one* of us September folk who've been waiting for 130+ days now would have their NOA2. But just like I suspected you might have been given a load of horseapples by that first rep. Then again, the person who told you another 5 months could have been giving you another type of run-around. Personally I'm inclined to go more towards the latter estimate, though I hope to heck that another full 5 months won't be our fate. Regardless the bottom line is that none of us will know anything until we receive the NOA2. Before that arrives, almost everything else is simply conjecture.

And I wouldn't take too much stock in the fact that you've passed the background checks, assuming that this is even true. From my experience with that type of thing in the government, the almost-5 months should be plenty of time for the type of checks we're given to have been returned. I suspect that the majority of us September filers who've been waiting this long have passed the background check already. It's finding time for adjudicators to look at our petitions that is the problem. As I mentioned in earlier posts, those adjudicators have been, are and will continue to be too busy working on higher priority AOS petitions. In a way I am sympathetic to the TSC. My government-spidey-sense tells me that they'r in an awful mess right now. I further suspect that the TSC themselves aren't happy with the hand they've been dealt, but they're doing the best they can with it.

As a result, I'm hopeful that taking the fight from the SC level to the agency level will prove to be a fruitful strategy. Or get us something somehow some way. We'll see....

Thanks I just decided to book my ticket to visit him the first week of March. I have done everything humanly possible and I will await the outcome of this nightmare. My commitment to my relationship has only strengthen during difficult time. He has been so patient and even when I told him it could another 5 months he just said to me everything happens for a reason and to leave everything in God's hands and it will work out. This is why I love him.

Just got a (real) letter from the Senator I've been interacting with. She got a response from USCIS that basically blew her off. "we will contact your constituent when the application is processed". She is upset by this and fired off an official letter to the USCIS headquarters in DC. She's also instructed her staff to keep updated on the status of the case.

Her letter includes the discrepancy between TSC and CSC.
