Ok I'll bite. First, congratulations regarding your progress. However, there are only two service centers that process I-129F petitions, TEXAS and California. Therefore your "any other center" business doesn't apply and isn't helpful. And finally your progress is 100% because your petition went to CSC and not TSC.

You said that you're new to this part of the forum. Just so you know, you're welcome to post wherever you want of course, but this is the September TSC thread, so I'd suggest that you post your news in the September thread that doesn't have TSC in the title. Reading posts like yours here somehow feels like a bur under my saddle.

Anyway once again congratulations and good luck.

I can sense your annoyance, which is understandable considering the situation you're in, but a) I actually didn't know there were only 2 centres who dealt with I-129f forms, so now I know and b) I really didn't realise that this was a specific thread dedicated to those whose applications are at Texas. My bad since I just skimmed the thread title to find the month I applied. However, I find it difficult to accept your congratulations as genuine when you are essentially telling me to leave the thread. So before I go, I'll say I sincerely hope everyone here gets the NOA2 as soon as possible because you guys deserve it after all the waiting you've been subjected to. All the best.

Congrats, see this is the perfect examples of how ridiculousness that's at Texas. Filing date 10 days before mines but here you are almost done while I wait this never ending wait. Just another day waiting on Texas I can seem to understand why they are not transferring any cases. I looked at the June blog and there's still a few people that are waiting. Which means another two to three months of waiting time.

That is crazy considering how similar our times were in sending the package...I wonder how they determine which cases stay and which leave? Perhaps it's already been answered. Anyway, I've been informed that I'm in the wrong thread since this is for Texas filers, so I wish you all the best in your process. Stay strong. :)

Hello All,

So I just came back from my local USCIS office and just as I thought nothing has been done on m case since 29 of September which was 5 days after my case received no surprise there. What I am surprised about though is that she told me that my FBI background check had come through already and my case is just waiting for someone to pick it up and complete it. I thought background checks wasn't actually done until someone is assigned to your case and send out for it. Is that incorrect? I am confused not sure if I'm being lied to or what?

Some good news. Maryna has completed her interview at the USC in Warsaw, and the K1 & K2 visas were approved and issued. She is on her way back to Belarus as I write this. She experienced an unfortunate issue yesterday at the consulate yesterday which caused both of us to panic. The USC Poland LOST the electronic DS-160's that were submitted prior to the interview. They went ahead and conducted the interview, but told her that they could neither approve/disapprove-or process documents further until the form could be retrieved from their system. Basically, they left her hanging with little information about what to do, or recourse to take. Of course, she only had a determined amount of time for the schengen visa for poland, and the thoughts of the follow on logistics to return at later date were getting overwhelming. Long story short, Visas were miraculously approved and sent to the courier for pick-up in the afternoon there today.

I wanted to say thank-you to everyone here and the VJ community at large, for the dialog and support. Maryna & I had an unusually fortunate circumstances and experiences with our K1 journey. Now we will prepare for the next round of challenges ahead of us. I hope and pray to see the rest of you begin to close the gap on this miserable bureaucratic nightmare, receive your approvals, and be joyfully reunited with your other halves. If I've learned anything from this experience, reading post after post everyday, feeling the frustrations and triumphs of everyone, from their I-129F submittable, to their NOA1 and 2 notices, to the very obsessive/compulsive desire to ensure every form/communication/submission is precisely accurate,.... I've learned this is not race. This is a marathon, an emotional, spiritual, romantic marathon of sorts. The average person wouldn't have anything to do with this mess. This takes a certain breed to go down this road, very special people, with very unique stories, with very special relationships. May each one of you celebrate the sweetness of your enduring commitment and perseverance through this journey soon. When your day comes, remind yourselves, you did something pretty awesome. Cheers~Tom

Hey Av8or, I was just reading up on congressman Carter. His bio says he met his wife in Holland. Any chance she might be Dutch? If so, that's some good leverage and relatability there. Yes I know relatability isn't a work but it's perfect for what I'm trying to say so it's staying.

Hi April,

Not sure about the congressman, but I do know that the lady who I spoke with is an immigrant. She made that quite clear when we spoke. And as such she's a champion of immigration issues, appears to have extensive experience with them and it seems that this comprises the bulk of her work in that office. Therefore to have her agree with my complaint/assertion of an 8-to-1 processing time difference was a victory in and of itself. And to have her take direct action to attempt to remedy our issue seems like a second victory; even though it's clearly not 100% that anything will result from it.

We'll see...

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS

Honestly I think they just got tired o me sending them letters complaining about the processing times between Texas and California. They said that she is making a formal inquiry into the matter and that she thought that it's unfair how the processing time ad workload is so different. What ever it is I won't lie I wasn't trying to jump the gun ahead of anyone but I am also thrilled. Even if it's another 30 days which will put me at the 5 month mark.

Yeah, I doubt she pushed it through. I don't think they even can unless it is well beyond they processing date.

30 days would basically fit the current timeline, so the congresswoman likely was just confirming what was already the case. If that's true, it's good news for all of us.

I don't know what to believe she said 30 days I feel like that's a bold statement to make being Texas is currently taking 7 to 8 months to process. I was just a my local office yesterday and they said file hadn't been touched as of yet so what I will do is give it about two weeks and go to local office and see if it is indeed with an officer.

That is nice you are able to do that. I literally do not have time. I go to work everyday and I've tried calling but can never get through and it normally takes an hour. by the time I am off everything is closed.
