Have you guys thought of trying to file an expedite? It'll get denied but at least someone will take a look at your case. In our denial email they even said that someone was actively looking at our case (which was true because we got approved a few days after)

for our case we have this:

On May 20, 2015, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number SRC………. Our Texas Service Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. You should receive a decision or case update by July 19, 2015, unless fingerprinting or an interview are needed. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

PS: congrat on the interview date!!!

It would be so incredibly unprofessional if they did indeed hang up at you, although nothing with USCIS would surprise me anymore... It was my fiancé who called but I think he said that we had sent in a general inquiry that wasn't responded to and that we wanted to request an expedite. They don't really ask you much, they just do.. We got a reply on our expedite request within 6 hours after it had been filed. Hope it helps!

Thanks!!

Eh well. Got told Rich has to be the one calling. Anybody want to tell me why I even try anymore?

I was wondering the same thing and was told that the US petitioner is the only one available to call USCIS because while it is there, it's technically a petition filed only by the US fiancé.. It gets much easier (and a lot quicker!) once you get to NVC, and it is a case where both of you can call.

The Posted date usually changes too. I had never even seen that Field Office Processing Date until you pointed it out. Before today or yesterday it still said May 12th or whatever it was. I don't understand why that changed and the rest of the page didn't.

exactly. Silly bogus updates...

Sandra,

Sorry to ask this. We are going on 9 months now also and have a daughter together that is 11 months old.

Can I ask what you said in order to expedite the request?

I saw this in another forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/326412-k1-visa-expedite-process-for-i-129f/

Hey there! Sorry you guys are going through this and I really hope that you and anyone else that is still waiting will get approved soon.

I'll have to disappoint you and say that we weren't able to get our case expedited due to not fulfilling the expedite criteria (http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria). Although, my fiancé did request a Tier 2 representative with the USCIS to file for an expedition with no basis, simply to force someone to look into our case and hopefully let us know where we stand. This is the response I received:

On 05/20/2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I129F to notify us that you were requesting an expedited review of your case. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We regret to inform you that we cannot grant your request for expedited processing of your I129F.

Although your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need, which must meet one of the following criteria:

However we researched your case and found your case is currently under review and is actively being processed by an officer.

We hope this information is helpful to you and regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

So even though our expedite request got denied, it gave us some peace of mind that they were able to tell us that we were currently being processed. 6 days later and we had an approval.

Good luck and I'm rooting for you!

Happy 9 months to meeeee

Holy #######.

Did they eat your file? Or there's a possibility that it's sitting under a box filled with stacks of other K1 applications.

Is this real life or a joke? How does something like this take 9 months?
