I was at that point, too. To be honest, Monday night, I had a really big break down. I'm not one to cry over things, which isn't good because I've wanted to "let it out" several times over the past 8 months, but Monday night I finally lost it and I felt so. insanely. hopeless.

And, less than 24 hours later, I received my approval.

This will happen for you, and I really do think it will be soon. At this point, there is no "soon enough" but trust me, once it comes, all the worries (especially about having a Visa by your wedding date!) will disappear.

(L)

I also had the breakdown and I'm not one to be that way at all. Thought I was a strong person and then this process really broke me (and you've made it a month longer than I did!).

Seriously, I'm not a prayer, but I pray for y'all, and I came to realize it's not that we aren't strong, because we all are, we are making it through and still with our fiances/fiancees- this process is just totally unnatural and, honestly, mean. I'm more than aware of how government agencies work and I know we all realize that we are faceless pieces of paper to them, but that doesn't make it easier for us. So, i think its ok to have really bad days and breakdowns.

Anyway, fingers crossed for you, Mewbear. We Southerners tend to be big huggers, so sending one your way.

Hoping for good news for you. :((L)

My heart is with you Mew and everybody still waiting. You're all very strong. I hope you all get approved very soon.

Thank you guys :) I'm not one to break down easily either, but like jktigerfan said, this process took a huge toll on me. Yesterday I couldn't get out of my head that, if I'm lucky enough, I'll be in the USA in August, and by that time it would have been 7 months since I last saw Rich. I get knots in my stomach just thinking about it. Add on to that the powerless feeling (we've been waiting over 8 months and our file still hasn't been OPENED?!), the incomprehension on why nobody can feel an ounce of humanity in USCIS, and the awful feeling that I am trapped in a life that isn't mine anymore.

I honestly can't wait to put all that behind me.

Cheers for staying around, and hug party :)

Has anyone here still not received any response from TSC and are from September?

We received our NOA1 on September 23rd.

Fiance is Spanish and child is American (has her passport and social already).

The child has not seen her paternal family since her birth in July.

Are we the only ones left waiting for NOA2 8 months and 6 days after?

Definitely not alone. Some 4% of all Sept Petitions at TSC were still in 'Received' state yesterday - i.e. no one had touched/RFEed/approved them yet.

I receive an RFE today. Almost 8 months after I receive the noa1. Now I have to wait for the actual letter to arrive so I could see what else they need in order to get approved. Good luck every one, this process really sucks

Hello all. The RFE I got is ridiculous, if you ask me. They wish to receive "further evidence" of my Fiancée's "intention" to marry me, so they asked me for e-mails outlaying our wedding plans, wedding announcements (when we don't know when she would be coming with all this waiting, much less a set wedding date), a copy of the contract of the banquet hall where we will be celebrating our wedding at, and an updated statement from my girlfriend about her intentions to marry me within 90 days of her arrival in the U.S. Although to obtain this information is not that much of a problem for us, it doesn't make any sense for me that the government might be asking us for "futuristic" information of something we might or not have planned to do. I feel as though USCIS is forcing us now to have a wedding celebration. Not sure if anyone around here has received a similar RFE. Regards!

It is a common RFE. Did you provide letters of intent to marry from both the petitioner and the beneficiary with your original filing?

Oh god, I can so relate to that exact feeling. It's so weird knowing that the days go on, but you're not really living.. I keep praying for you guys, and I really really hope today is your day.
