So I got one on the Friday night and then another one on the Monday. When I talked to USCIS (not TSC, but the general number), they said they go by the later one (of course!).

Okay - good to know. I wasn't sure what that was about. I'm glad to know it's not a serious system glitch, because anxiety girl over here was fearing the worst: that maybe the system was acting up and maybe I wasn't actually approved. Hahaha.

I need to stop thinking like that.

Thanks for the info - I updated my timeline.

I'm really pleased with all of the positive activity this week. I was expecting the opposite with Monday being an American holiday, and with the floods that had been tearing through Texas in addition to all of the tornado warnings.

Oh, totally. I was convinced they were taking mine away or I had been dreaming it. You're not the only one :)

96 approvals and 70% of September is supposedly done.. It leaves a lot of work to do in just two days.. :(

I did my waiting! 9 months of it.. IN TSC!

Today has been an incredibly rough day so I'm hoping for some good news tonight. I know I've said that quite a lot, but it's getting almost impossible to remain positive. Sigh.

I was at that point, too. To be honest, Monday night, I had a really big break down. I'm not one to cry over things, which isn't good because I've wanted to "let it out" several times over the past 8 months, but Monday night I finally lost it and I felt so. insanely. hopeless.

And, less than 24 hours later, I received my approval.

This will happen for you, and I really do think it will be soon. At this point, there is no "soon enough" but trust me, once it comes, all the worries (especially about having a Visa by your wedding date!) will disappear.

I also had the breakdown and I'm not one to be that way at all. Thought I was a strong person and then this process really broke me (and you've made it a month longer than I did!).

Seriously, I'm not a prayer, but I pray for y'all, and I came to realize it's not that we aren't strong, because we all are, we are making it through and still with our fiances/fiancees- this process is just totally unnatural and, honestly, mean. I'm more than aware of how government agencies work and I know we all realize that we are faceless pieces of paper to them, but that doesn't make it easier for us. So, i think its ok to have really bad days and breakdowns.

Anyway, fingers crossed for you, Mewbear. We Southerners tend to be big huggers, so sending one your way.

Received in the email today:

Dear Sir,

The Ombudsman’s Office has determined that USCIS recently issued a decision regarding the I-129F referenced in your request for assistance. If you do not receive the decision notice within 15 days, please contact USCIS at 1-800-375-5283.
Since USCIS has issued a decision, our office will be closing this inquiry.
Thank you for giving the Ombudsman’s Office the opportunity to assist you.

Sincerely,
Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman

The timing is quite propitious :) I am guessing the ombudsman's office works with TSC to wait until after the decision and then reply.
