You're definitely not the only one. I was relatively nice for a long time, now I'm just hunting for blood everytime we call USCIS. It's absolutely sickening that NOBODY can give us a validate answer. It's always "it will be your turn soon", sorry but after 8 months I have no intention to wait any longer, nor should you have the guts to tell me to keep on waiting.

This whole thing is turning me into a monster.

It's so tempting to call USCIS and unleash my fury, but our immi lawyer said to leave it to her and her paralegals. I guess when you call to make an inquiry, they can put a hold on info request for up to a month for a particular case (in order to avoid constant info requests. Well gee, maybe if the staff were productive it wouldn't get to that point). I e-mailed our paralegal today to see if it's worth them putting in a service request for us because Sept. 18th as of March 31st... seems as though by end of may a Sept. 23 file should have been glanced at...

We want to book our honeymoon this week, and I want to be excited about it because it's SO exciting, but my brain keeps reeling back to "you might not even be ABLE to do that once that time rolls around!" It's for end of Nov/early Dec so...I'd HOPE by then I'm living in the US...but at this rate it seems too surreal of an idea to accept.

If it's any consolation, I filled out ours last year, not thinking that it would ever take so long to get this process completed. I'm sure they wouldn't accept it now, so I'm redoing it just to be safe. I think a few months is okay, but not anything that's a long time in the past.

There doesn't seem to be any requirement for the I-134 to be immediately recent. William prepared his in mid March. That was a full two two months before the interview and they were perfectly happy with it. I've read reports of people prepaying theirs even further ahead of time with no issues. I think if it was a year old they might ask for something updated but check your embassy reviews. I don't think they expect you to have it ridiculously recently though.

Thank you :) That's a relief, gathering all the papers was such a hassle the first time!

When are you and your daughter finally flying out? :)

I did my waiting! 9 months of it.. IN TSC!

I hear you, I temper myself a lot, but when I called and the guy told me that basically he wouldn't tell me ANYTHING I lost it a little.

I'm in between keep on calling and trying to get some kind of answers, or letting them "do their job". I really don't know anymore.

The honeymoon thing is so bittersweet, we have all of our invitations and faire-part ready but I can't get myself to send them before we get our NOA2. It just sucks so bad that a moment in our lives that should be so joyful is being spoiled.

If it's any consolation, I filled out ours last year, not thinking that it would ever take so long to get this process completed. I'm sure they wouldn't accept it now, so I'm redoing it just to be safe. I think a few months is okay, but not anything that's a long time in the past.

I'm hoping 3/4months old will be good enough.. that is if we get approved somewhat soon.

I did my waiting! 9 months of it.. IN TSC!

I dont feel like giving up but giving up on thinking that tomorrow will get an answer. I do not even think that I will get any response this week. Maybe in January 20145302003 ... I do not know and I do not care anymore.. I think I will leave this group as it did not really help me.... the statistics are maybe accurate for some but not me... Bye.

Albeit we speak of stats in this group, it isn't about stats. It's about support.

Good luck!

Well if it helps, I'd agree with wbeem. A few months for the I-134 is no big deal. Assuming a June interview date, Elena's will be 2 or 3 months old, don't remember now, have to look to see. As for the police record, it varies from country to country, so you'll have to check your specific one to determine how long it will be valid. In Russia for example, the police record is valid for one year. Thus as long as the interview takes place within one year from the date the report was issued, we're good. Elena did the police report thing in January, so we're well within that limit. Similar for the medical duration, it depends, so check your specific country/embassy to determine how long that will be valid. Usually that's not a concern because the medical is completed fairly close to the interview date and thus the departure date. Hope that helps.

Y'all hang in there. Elena and I pray for you each day during our normal prayers before dinner, so hopefully you'll see some NOA2s flying around for September this week!

I'll just say it here, I really appreciate how you guys stick around for support and help us with the rest of the process. It's awesome!

I had to get a Police Certificate from England as I lived there for a while, and it's good for a year, but the French one is only good for three months. Thankfully cause the English one was a pain to get!

I think I'll keep the i-134 that Rich did, unless I get an interview in September (please, I beg, no!) then I'll ask him to make a more recent one. I'll be so darn happy when we are done with all those papers!

Glad to be around! As much as we all would like to be done with the paperwork, understand that it's only the beginning. After this the major item is the DS-160 and lemme tell ya what, it is a pain in the a$$. There were several items on that form that had no explanation and unless I was just willing to "copy and hope for the best" from the VJ example DS-160, which I wasn't - I just "had to understand everything" - LOL, then a Google search on VJ was required to get more information regarding those items. Then once you're here and married comes the AOS. And that is a considerable amount of paperwork too; be sure to do the EAD and AP, though you probably already know that. And the fee for the I-485 (AOS) ain't cheap either at > $1000.

But of course the primary thing at the moment is just to get y'all out of the hell hole that is the TSC. We're pullin' for ya!
