This is the difference between being approved in 4 weeks vs being approved after 8 months:

Quick approval reaction:

"Yay! I'm so happy. We only sent our petition at the beginning of the month and we were just approved last night. I'm going to go pack away the laundry and will check in with you all later."

Long, agonizing wait reaction:

"OMG I can't breathe. I'm shaking and crying and just so relieved that they didn't lose our petition because we were seriously starting to wonder ... I mean how is it possible that a few forms can vanish into a black hole for 8 months?"

This alone should be a glaring sign that something is terribly wrong with the system.

Congratulations to the recent approvals. To those still waiting, we are still here, waiting to celebrate with you.

  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017

Hang in there!

Here's our story of our approval. It's actually become a joke between the two of us.

I had hit rock bottom and got so upset I just impulsively booked a flight for 6 days to go be with William. I couldn't cope with anything. While I was getting my things together to head to the airport to fly out, I got a text from William who had apparently been trying to call me for about 20 minutes to tell me we had been approved, but the phone didn't ring on my side. So I got the Message "CALL ME!" Which I did. he told me we had been approved and guess what my totally over the top reaction was?

I said, ....... drum roll ....... "Oh."

I think I was so numb and had gone into survival mode and all I cared about was getting off the plane on the other side of the Atlantic and being with him. It's pretty funny now, because when we got the notification to say our petition had shipped to NVC (very important milestone because we were out of TSC) I went nuts, jumping up and down and yelling and buying cake and chocolate .... This whole thing is so crazy!

I honestly think all of us are going to get approved soon. It's a good thing that you all are filing service requests. About a week ago I had filed an expedition and it got denied a few days ago because apparently my case was being reviewed and I would "get more information soon." And about 3-4 days later I was approved.

I was at work when I got my approval, and something told me to check my email. When I loaded my email the email was there, and it took me a few seconds to stop staring at it and click it. I read it three four times thinking it was an update on the expedite and then three seconds later I got the text message and that's how I knew it was real. I screamed for joy about 5 minutes after, but I felt nothing. I felt like "oh okay cool." And then I settled, my head was buzzing... And that's when I hit me. I started to tremble and my eyes filled with tears and then I went crazy telling everyone LOL
