I'm also afraid it won't be pretty. Stef is betting that the update will be September 0, while I think it will be August 32nd. Just to watch our heads explode.

My guess is it will be something from October 2nd to October 5th.

I doubt the stated date will make any difference. There are still unanswered petitions from august. All the date change does is allow petitioner to file a request online (then USCIS has a month to respond to it, and they can very well respond with "we are still working on it").
