If the Canadians here don't mind me asking, what made you choose to go to the USA rather than have your fiance(e)s go to Canada? I have no idea if the process would've taken longer or not(or if it's even the same for that matter) but.. Heck, let's agree that they are both great places to live!

In our case, I have more family in Pittsburgh than he does in Canada. Canada is too expensive and I am awful at speaking French.

If you've ever seen the Friends episode of Joey trying to speak French... that's pretty much me.

The 5 remaining untouched petitions (including ours) are still in "received" state. No change since I started following them mid-April.

I received my NOA1 one day before you, so most likely I'm among one of those 5.

I don't know what app is being used to see those cases (is it Igor's list?) but do update us on it please :)

Is September the month that Canadian filers are hiding in? I guess September gets the Pittsburgh filers, and October gets the Philly ones.

Hoping September hears some news tonight. It's been oddly quiet...

And we received our NOA1 one day before yours ☺ they might like the smell of our papers and keeping it so long ( 8months) so to smell them everyday.

all of these cases have the same NOA1 date as ours. They get at least a few hundred cases per day, so one day difference means a very different case range.

iOS app called "USCIS Case Tracker" will do it.

Hey everyone, I'm a November filer but have been reading the September thread as its a bit more active currently.

So happy for those being approved and really hope it's not much longer for the rest of you September guys.

So far no approvals for the 5th that we can see...seems like a waste of a day gone by.

Maybe they work one week then take one off ? Haha.

People on the outside will just never know what goes on there I suppose.

I deleted the USCIS app on my phone last night.

Once 9pm rolled around, I was obsessing over clicking it and I am constantly setting myself up for disappointment.

I don't know how to continue on through this without going absolutely bonkers. I feel well past the point of "I should be getting my approval soon!" because, judging by the October and even November files I see being approved, I (and a few others in here) should have been approved by now. :bonk:

My file is clearly being used to level someone's wobbly desk.

[ Spring 2005 ] Met online, in-game (WoW)

[ February 2012 ] Finally admitted our true feelings after years of staying hush hush!

[ March 22, 2012 ] Made things official!

[ April 13, 2012 ] Met for the first time in real life and fell in love!

[ July 8, 2014 ] Got engaged!

[ September 10, 2014 ] Filled out paper work

[ September 19, 2014 ] Receipt Date

[ September 23, 2014 ] NOA1

And after 246 hellish days (8+ months) of being trapped in TSC purgatory....

[ May 27, 2015 ] NOA2 :)

[ September 16, 2015 ] Interview at the US Consulate in Montreal!

We were there a couple of months back. We watched more or less our entire month being approved, with our filing date being the 2nd, and we just sat, going nuts, with no idea why. And we'll never know what happened.

I should probably declare myself a walking miracle, considering the number of nights of escaping strangulation by my cell phone cable and avoiding electric shock considering all the tears that probably ran into the charging device. We won't even talk about the pillow cases, good for nothing more than the trash now, having been stained beyond help with a blend of mascara, snot n tears.

We survived. I won't say unscathed, but we did live to tell our tale. Of course whether anyone would believe it is another matter, entirely!

My file is clearly being used to level someone's wobbly desk.

I mis-read that as "My life is being used to level someone's wobbly desk." Well yeah, that too.
