I don't know anything about the petitions in a box thing, but another petitioner sent their petition and has the same NOA1 date as me. Their receipt number is one before us (ends with 8, ours ends with 9) yet we got approved and they're still waiting. It doesn't make sense at all. I think everything is just random.

10/13/2014 --- I-129F sent

10/15/2014 --- NOA1

05/01/2015 --- NOA2 (198 days)

05/08/2015 --- Case sent to the NVC

05/15/2015 --- Case received by the NVC

05/18/2015 --- Case number assigned

06/05/2015 --- Consulate received + Packet 3 received (e-mail)

07/27/2015 --- Medical

07/28/2015 --- Interview (APPROVED!)

07/30/2015 --- Issued

08/04/2015 --- Received

09/25/2015 --- POE

10/10/2015 --- Wedding

  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017

Well, I don't really know right now if I am going to get an approval or RFE (ya know, at this point kiss with a fist is better than none) but if it's going to be an RFE then please please hurry up, soon my fiance is going on a job offshore for about a month, and then we're kind of scrood since he won't be able to respond.

Same thing happened to us...we have similar dates. Got RFE alert on 4.30- I am hopeful it will be something simple, I pray the same for you!

It feels weird to not be waiting for a text/email alert anymore. Now waiting in a different way. I've come to terms with the fact that at least I have heard something about my case, instead of the unknown. I'm glad you have finally heard something as well and I will continue to pray and hope all of September gets their approvals soon!
