Who said anything about being stressed? I'm not gonna sweat it either. It's a badly broken system that I find annoying, that's all. I half expect my petition to require more time than most other September filers anyway. So yeah, enjoy the holidays.

To be honest, that causes me more stress. Plus someone just got their NOA2 and is TSC and non-filipino

I should have added that information as well. Sorry. We are TSC, and we ARE NOT an expedited case. Several people have asked about this. I did send letters to senators/congressmen/subcommittee on border security& immigration. I have not received replys from any of those communications I made. The RFE was for missing answers for criminal history. I wish I knew what the magic formula is. I followed June filers for a while a learned about some consistencies that suggest batch investigation completions. However, there are no sure fire ways of accurately predicting completions. This is particularly frustrating when all of us are trying to plan our new lives. My Christmas blessing and New Year wish is for all of our fellow September filers to receive the wonderful gift of a NOA2.

what makes you think your petition should require more time? US-Russian international relations?

Well first let me say that I also think that there is no real formula to determine how fast an approval will come nor which factors/aspects of a petition might delay the process. I've heard several opinions over the years and there are always exceptions. Finally note that I said "half expect." Ok, so. With all of that said and all caveats being in effect, here are my reasons for saying that...

Yes, I think that the state of relations between the US and Russia will play a part, though probably only a small one. I recently imported some automotive parts from Russia and they're still sitting on the dock in Houston awaiting clearance from an "intensive inspection", if that's any indication. And whatever "intensive inspection" means too. lol More significantly however is that I am a multiple filer (general waiver, no exceptions/special circumstances), my fiancee has already been to the USA on a tourist visa (3 times) and my answers to both the how-did-you-meet and have-you-filed-any-previous-petitions questions respectively were on separate sheets of paper, which requires additional reading on the part whomever ends up processing my petition. Even if those factors would only result in small delays respectively, in summation any small delays mean that my stuff will require more time than the average vanilla petition that is a first-time filer with no waiver required, the beneficiary has never been to the USA, etc.

Again, all caveats apply. It could have little bearing; it could have a significant impact. The answer would depend on who you talk to (not that I've done that) but will ultimately be proven out over time. So. We'll see.

Here's hoping we all get approvals as Christmas presents. (hah!)

Thanks

Just for fun, I'd be interested in hearing more about the consistencies in regard to batch completions.

Well that's odd. I just got a million text notifications that my uscis case status was changed. So I got super excited.

It just shows that the case was received. Maybe this means that the site is finally going to work or that maybe my case got touched. Here is hoping. It *does* show that the last update was today h

That happened to me too! I received 6 text alerts at 12:21pm all saying that my case status was changed. I logged in and it just gave me the date my case was received (I only saw this info online before the website upgrade but not after). I'm thinking they had a fix to the website that's causing all these alerts to go out. I called customer service and they didn't have any new info for me.
