I just got an email at 7:50 am east coast (no txt this time) saying that they received the response to our RFE on April 27, that s a week after it arrived to TSC. Now someone will look at it. They asked us - on April 8- for the proof of intent to marry. We sent a scanned hand written letter, plus another signed by his parents, plus extra photos, plus proof of another two visits. The wet ink letter is on its way to the U.S. via normal mail. From what I read officers must be convinced of your intention to marry and they have discretion over how they do this. If they ask us for a wet ink I will send it. But we thought it was worth a try. I will let you know if in our case wet ink is the deal breaker.

The way I am processing this delay in my head is by having the certainty that we will be together in the end. We just have to be patient. Our relationship is real and my fiancé will be allowed to move to the U.S. with me.besides I am lucky bc we will spend lots of time together this summer.

Ok, so apparently this has become like an obsession lol. I checked the 5 receipt numbers after mine, and 2 of them were approved last night. At least I feel better that something was approved.

The "intent to marry" statement doesn't have to be anything but a couple lines promising that you will get married within 30 days of arriving. Has nothing to do with evidence.

probably not K-1 applications though, so it doesn't really mean much.

The USCIS says these details for the ones I checked : On April 27, 2015, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E).

This is the same that it says for mine, so isn't this the same type of form?

Elprofe, also include in the letter of intent that you intend to marry in the USA. There is a sample letter in the guides which you can use as a style and change it up to personalize it.

I checked one above and one under mine and they were both approved in early April, and one was forwarded to the NVC.. made me feel even worse :P darn curiosity

No. The approvals have been exceptionally scattered across filing dates for a couple of months now and some get 'lucky' and others don't. If I thought anyone at TSC actually had time to scout around the forums I'd be ticked off, because it's not as if they don't have enough to do.

I don't believe there is any slight connection whatsoever.
