K1 September 2014 Filers (TSC)

It's not OK. And Yeah, an above average sense of humor is a basic requirement just to stay alive through this.

Seriously though, it's just not funny. It's NOT okay that families are kept apart, not because of the requirements for additional screening or even in the interests of security, but solely due to bad management, incompetence and complete apathy. These are people's lives. People are not case numbers or bar codes. We are real people with hopes and dreams.

What is also really sad is that this forum was for people to share information and experiences, have a safe place to vent and get support and understanding ... yet the system, NOT the people, have caused a deep and painful divide between CSC and TSC filers. It's like a 'them and us' situation. Poor case load management and glossing over of an ever growing problem has caused it to become progressively severe over time. It's like taking two kids, putting them in a room and giving one of them a bag of candy and a big box of cool toys and saying: "Have fun, but you can't share with your friend."

We are through TSC now, but I honestly still feel quite raw about the whole experience and how it affected me. It took a toll on my emotions, my family, friendships fell apart because people thought I was making things up as I went along and being hurt and super sensitive, I cut ties with them completely, family have been concerned, it took a toll on my health .... Anyone here feeling the same right now? There's nothing wrong with you and you're not weak. This is unnecessary torture.

Sorry, this is part rant and part "We know what you're going through". For what it's worth. You guys don't deserve this. Still hoping the pace picks up somehow at TSC. Still here and watching for your approvals.

Lee

Your and Williams presence and encouraging words has, and still does, mean a lot to me and other people who are going through this hellhole. Thank you guys for sticking around and I'm 150% excited for you to get your interview approval so I can live vicariously through you and be super excited for the next couple of months haha

I can relate to this 100%. I was ok until February.. and then me and my fiancé were feeling extremely bitter about everything. It's hard to be totally happy in our kind of relationship when it is depended on another factor. I went back to Brazil in March to see where we stood and of course we wanted to continue working things out. We are doing much better now, but around that time period we both were depressed.. I lost some weight and couldn't sleep well. Thanks for pointing this out, I see many others have felt the same way.

I tried it....The last number of my receipt number is three so i changed it to 4 and i saw that the person got an RFE

The chances of that RFE being for a K-1 is exceptionally low.

Thank you for your post. I have had similar feelings. This whole process was/is incredibly nervewracking on so many level, I also got troubles with my health due to stress and beloved because of not being able to give them any answers. That's why I turned to this forum to find some comfort and to stop feeling as hopeless.

Thankfully my SO has been amazing, but I feel so guilty about breaking down. One good thing about our situation is it truly shows if we found our partner for life. I couldn't imagine going through this process with anyone else. :)

Hang in there, once you'll see your love at the airport I'm sure all the pain will fade away. :)

I love this thread. Why couldn't he have proposed in September so I could be among you guys?

Reading some of these posts today actually made me emotional because it just didn't occur to me that other people were going through this depression. I have had problems as well and the last 3 weeks in particular crushed me. I understand what you're saying about the guilt too, Mewbear, because I feel the same way. And, in case this wasn't hard enough, I just moved to a new city on my own in January so I can finish grad school in one year (after living in Africa the past few years so dealing with reverse culture shock has been fun too) and get a job to support us when he first arrives. We haven't even reached the point you guys are at yet, but it's so encouraging to read many of your posts.

I sincerely thank you guys for sharing your stories.

221 days woot woot :clock:

I really would like to know what the heck is happening in their office. From what I saw it's the third day without any approval, and now we won't hear a thing until monday. I hope they sleep well at night.

I've felt the same way, if we hadn't been lazy we would have sent our application at the end of august and we wouldn't be still waiting (assuming), biting my nails everyday for that one..

I did my waiting! 9 months of it.. IN TSC!

223 days and nothing happened. I'm getting sick of this whole process, why can it be easy and simple? The problem is if we got married before the interview, we have to start all over again and it will take 2 more years. So both ways are horrible ???

Hi I am new on this timeline. I received NO1 september 24th, could someone tell me when should I expect NO2. Yesterday, I visit visajourney and it is written that they are processing with 19th september file. Just want to know if visa journey is accurate as I used to go before to UScis website processing with 23rd august file ...

If visa journey is accurate, i should therefore receive within 2 weeks.

Thanks

VJ is as accurate as the data members put in...it is not official and USCIS won't give a ####### when you call them to refer to VJ data.

I have found it to be reasonably accurate since I joined, but it is only ever a median - meaning there is a bunch of people who wait less and a bunch of people who wait more.
