Gheez but this is so frustrating. The discrepancy between service centers is unbelievably, remarkably unfair. Irritatingly so. I spoke with an attorney today just to get a feel for what he's seeing "in the industry" and he told me that they are "in no rush whatsoever" to do anything with these petitions. Who knows how accurate that truly is, but it's still very annoying. No matter how you slice it. I mean we're citizens, shouldn't our petitions have a higher priority? I know, the subject has been beaten to death...it just reminds me of Charlie Sheen's line in Oliver Stone's film "Platoon": "...so what do we do? Just sit in the middle and [half-bleep] on it. We just don't add up to dry [bleep]..." That'd be funny if it weren't so true. And sad. And did I say irritating? lol

I do realize of course that posting a meandering rant like this won't do any good, and could end up shedding more heat than light. But doing so does help; somehow, I dunno. I finally gave in and enabled mobile alerts and email alerts. I had been putting that off in order to avoid the "sitting by the phone" syndrome. However I found myself doing that anyway, so I registered for it a couple of days ago. Heck, on a dare I even submitted an application for that reality TV series "90 Day Fiance" ... doing so somehow mysteriously made me feel like the date was closer. Even though it wasn't and I don't think that we're a good fit for that show, which I admitted up front. lol

Unfortunately the 5 months mark is not the thing anymore. I'm at 5.5 and we tried to call daily, fill inquiry but they are telling us we are still within the normal processing time because they are processing "April" so we can't

Calling US is being serve daily BS and contradictory informations, even with tiers2 agent....

What?! That's such a lie!! They don't even HAVE april cases anymore.. They transferred them to CSC!! They're working on june. If they're not going to help us at all, why even give us a number to call. Gosh I'm just waiting for febuary to hit, because I know they're not going to want to deal with me. ? Let's do it!! ???? Tsc is currently 54% done with June, so they're starting to work on the rest of June and beginning July. Which means we might start getting September approvals by January/February!

Today the letter arrived from the NVC. I had already called and got our case number though. On tuesday our status on the website updated to "ready" so we can now pay the visa fee and schedule medical and interview. We are just waiting for my financial paperwork to arrive there before we schedule

Nope. I plan on marrying through the courts when she arrives and two years later having a religious ceremony in Mexico. Money is tight...time is precious.

I checked on the latest updated "official" processing times. It states May 2014. So that's 7 months, not 5. Although I'm willing to do my part by starting to call frequently, it would seem that February would be 2 months too early. 'Course that could change next month, but it doesn't seem likely; TSC is moving horribly, miserably slowly right now.

Anyway.

Lol I hear ya! My boyfriend and I decided to put up 5k for our wedding, and we're going to do a LOT of DIY and keep it small (immediate family, and lots of friends). In 2-3 years we'll have a more official wedding where we'd cater to the whole family I'm so anxious for our weddinggg!!

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the progress reports as yet because the last time they actually updated the progress report was september 30th. They're too lazy to even update their own webpage -.- precisely 3 months too lazy.
