Yep. I was naïve once and thought, "Hey, I'm Canadian. This should be a breeze!"

I mean, even when they get to doing a background check on me and/or my fiancé, it ~should be quick. Neither of us have travelled anywhere except between the US and Canada. Our backgrounds are so beige and boring. I thought it would have paid off to be uninteresting but I guess not! Haha.

I was naive too and planned a lot of thing, then :clock: here we are april 20 and no NOA2.

The good think for me is that I saved more money to pay the loan on my car, so I can export it now oufffff.

NOA1 date: 9-22-2014

interview: September 18/ approved

visa received: September, 24, 2015

POE: October,5,2015

AOS/EAD/AP: October 29,2015

EAD/AP approved:01/26/2016 card received: 02/02/2016

AOS approved:02/02/2016

02/09/2016 GC received

ROC/CITIZENSHIP/Passport-refer to my timeline...

I'm Done now, thank you to this wonderful VJ community ...Good luck to everyone....

Yeah, the good news is that it looks like all of my finances will be taken care of by the time I move. Moving to the US debt-free will be a great feeling. So, I guess there is a slight positive to this wait.

But man, If I don't hear anything by the end of this month I am going to seriously panic. We have our wedding planned for October 23. I feel confident enough that I'll have a Visa in my hand well before that point but...with each passing day, a bit of that confidence is shot!

Edit: Ou, and. Kudos on having your loan being taken care of! I meant to put that. I didn't mean for my response to be all about me. That sounded rude. Haha. I was more in agreement and feel like I'm on your page with that!

From your timeline I see you are counting from date you sent your petition in, not the NOA1 date like rest of us. You are one day ahead of me so you are 222 today

I saw people counting either way. In any case, NOA1 date is the 11th, so it's only 2 days off. Will be 224 on Wednesday, then :)

I dunno y'all. For me, I go by September 11th, 2014, which is technically the "received date" because that's what it says when I login to the case status to see if there are any updates.

That and because I personally feel that the routing phenomenon is a legitimate portion of the overall process. After all, there used to be a day when you would send your petition directly to the service center. The lockbox concept is something that was implemented in the past 2-3 years or so, maybe 4, not sure. Definitely not further back than that. Or at least it didn't exist in late 2009, that much I can say for certain. The point being that if they want to utilize this lockbox thing-gy that is fine, but those days between the "received date" and the "official date" still count in my book.

So for me, 9/11/14 is the date I go by. And according to http://www.timeanddate.com/ that makes today 221 days.

FWIW.

Edited by av8or1

Most of you probably already are but for those still waiting, be sure to check uscis.gov for status. Even though I signed up for email and text notifications I never got them.

I second this! I never got an email or text despite signing up for them and getting them when our NOA-1 was received. Only found out about NOA-2 through checking case status online. Our changed somewhere between 10 PM and 7 AM, too. Really, really hoping there are a lot of Sept approvals this week!

9-29-2014 I-129F received by TSC
10-2-2014 NOA-1 hard copy received from TSC

4-6-15 NOA-2 hard copy from TSC

4-03-2015 NVC received
4-07-2015 NVC sent case to Embassy
4-10-2015 Embassy received case

4-20-15 NVC case #s hard copy

5-15-15 Medical
5-26-15 Interview at Embassy
6-2-15 Supposed to pick up Visa at Embassy; Embassy called and delayed

Thanks :D Some cysts on my ovaries ruptured -_- so they have to keep me overnight to make sure the liquid isn't dangerous and that the other cysts aren't going to rupture as well.

God, giving me my NOA2 today will make up for you making me stay in a hospital and rupturing my cysts. Js.

Ah, yeah. Mine has changed since last week. Last week it was from April 9th to May something. And now it's saying from April 9th to April 28th. Cruel!

According to my estimated time I should have an approval for 3 days.

It's a little BS

That's disheartening, but I shouldn't be surprised.

I sincerely wish.

I also wish that the US CIS site would update their status a bit more as well. The last time they updated was February for crying out loud, which is when they were processing August 23. We all know they've surpassed that point - but yet it's still so hard to believe that they are well into September.
