It'll definitely increase processing times at CSC. In theory, if it evens out, then both service centers would have a 3 month processing time. Sucks for people that would normally be a couple weeks at CSC, but it at least makes the process more fair.

It seems to me that USCIS is basically trying to make CSC another TSC so the people from TSC wont have a reason to complain. I dont know what will be the effect of this for old cases in TSC

I do hope that maybe not having as many incoming I-129 applications it will still do us a little bit of good. IF they keep the number of people working on them constant, that is.

Incoming applications aren't going to affect us at all. As a matter of fact, this new process won't affect us at all. It will help people that are currently submitting applications though. So I'm happy for that. I would hate for other people to have to deal with this.

You can't even out the process without adding time to CSC processing. You can't be mad about this.

Absolutely. My hesitation is with whether USCIS will actually do the proactive managing of workloads or just ignore it like they've done here. It's a good procedural change... if they're proactive and manage the way the should.

There might be a teeny, tiny impact for us stuck in the queue, as adjudication of expedites (i.e. Filipino) won't keep jumping in front of us.

Also, theoretically, they could allocate some more resources that normally would be dealing with handling incoming petitions and assigning/sending out NOA-1s to current processing. Whether they will actually do this - who knows.

So far 2 approval on Igor's list and one was a September filer and a March filer Philippine.

That Philippines March filer is a fluke, they were routed to csc but put transferred from tsc in their timeline. I've kindly messaged them to fix it.

Just landed at JFK and the immigration officer was quite surprised when I told him we've been waiting 7 months now. He said he thought it was a 5 month wait and that he's very sorry for the uphold, no one deserves to be apart from their loved ones for so long. Nice dude, also confirms that not even the border people know what's going on.

I'm kind of surprised anyone would bring up the fact they are currently in the application phase of a k-1 visa. It's almost a guaranteed denial for a tourist visa.

seriously? It seems to me the officer would think you that you will be going back at some point to pick up the visa, and why would anyone sabotage their process by just becoming an illegal?

To skip the whole process. It happens. People in this thread have even considered this very idea.

When my fiance applied for a tourist visa they flat out denied her because of it. My congressman's office also said it's not worth even trying since it's almost always a denial when you are processing.

I went back and forth with my fiancee about that when she came to visit a couple months ago and in the end we decided it was better for her to just tell them instead of them finding out if they plan on interrogating her, which they have before. She also mentioned visiting other family in the country (which was true) so the visit wasn't just to see me. In the end the officer was nice about it and let her through without a hitch. It really is case by case, though, so good luck to those who try it.
