That is why I paid $300 for a lawyer to help with my I-129F. I wanted it through as quickly and easily as possible. I pray you guys get your soon.

A lawyer has nothing to do with the quickness or accurateness, they just put the paperwork together for you which really is an easy process. There have been MANY cases here on VJ where people paid lawyers hundreds of dollars and still got an RFE. It is up to the person at the service center whether or not to approve a case.

Yep...paying a lawyer here and Im no where in the quick range!!!

Well I'm sure some of it is luck of the draw, but they are almost well into january filers. Have you asked your lawyer if he received an RFE??? If he filed it on your behalf I would think the RFE would go to him and not you. I could be wrong but I would call him.

Actually they send a copy to the lawyer and to the petitioner. Nothing received yet.

I've also noticed that. It would not surprise me if many people drift away from this site as they get busy with the final stages of this process. My guess is they never come back to complete the timelines. On the other hand, many November filers are still waiting for their interview. It's just that we can't be sure about the accuracy of the numbers...

Yeah you do get busy compiling all the papers on this side and on the fiances side. Well we are January 3rd flyers out of Bucharest Romania and the interview is next Monday!!! So wish us luck.

Nothing yet Len???????

Aah, thanks for asking Luis. So nice of you! No, nothing here since last Tuesday. I'm back in my "pre-touch" state of mind...

It is frustrating because we were hoping that I could come back to California by mid-June (the embassy stage in Prague should be fast, as I was told) and have a wedding on July 14th, but with the pace things are moving now it isn't going to happen. I'm just finishing with this semester at school, and with school here in Czech as a whole, and I don't really have much to do in June. The waiting will be painful... :(

Good luck to you and Wendy in Bogota! I'm so happy for you guys!

It seems that the USCIS website isnt updating case status for a few people lately. You can call the USCIS and and follow the prompts to check on an RFE. When you get to an operator you can ask about your status. We found out today that we were approved last week, but the USCIS website still says we are pending.

Ours was last touched 2nd of May also, and we haven't heard of anything up to now..

We were planning wedding too mid August but with the things going on now, we have to changed date and plans. (SO WHAT CSC?)..

Thanks for that idea.. We were thinking of calling NVC this weekend and ask if they have our petition.. CSC might sent our packet to them without updating our case online. :)

You were never a mistake. You were my realization.

I would suggest calling NVC on Friday or Monday so that you can talk to a person. I read somewhere on VJ that K1s are not entered into the automated system. I'm not sure if that really is a general rule. But its consistent with my personal experience. I talked to someone last week and have my NVC case number but I still can not get any info on the automated. It always says they have "no record of this case."

Reeses,

That is correct...You do need to speak with a live person at NVC to get info on k1 visas. The automated system will NOT recognize your WAC # or NVC issued #.
