Called the NVC tonight -- our petition just got there today! So that was 23 days from NOA2.

Hopefully, they'll kick it out to the consulate next week!

That is crazy! I still can't believe they're getting there that slowly now. Sheesh.

Luckily K1s don't stay there too long - I betcha it'll get sent to London on Monday or Tuesday.

I looked at the stats again, and it does appear that 20+ days is the average, so maybe I'm being too eager.

I hope too.. If they grant our NOA2 (at least) until this month ends, I will be flying to CO by August too. If not , it'll be September. How far is Pensacola from Miami? My fiance and I are thinking if we should accept my in-laws offer to hold our wedding in Miami.

You were never a mistake. You were my realization.

You can call or email them. We did both but we got lucky in writing them than getting a hold of a live person. ;) You will also receive a letter from NVC once they're done checking on your case and has forwarded it to the consulate.

Good luck!

Just getting started on the checking with NVC thing :) I can't believe how much better I feel after NOA2 even if there's still quite a wait!

In case anyone is interested, here's the website with all the contact info for NVC:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html

I called the automated line and it said they had no record of my case, so it hasn't been received (no surprise).

I'm assuming this is as good a way as any to check if they've received it? No benefit to talking to someone in person or waiting for a response by email, right?

Let's hope we all get there in less than 3 weeks!

Timeline:

I-129F

------------------------------

1/19/07 - Sent I-129F

1/22/07 - USPS confirmed delivery

1/23/07 - Receipt showed up in online case status

1/26/07 - Received receipt notice by mail (not exactly sure on this date, but it's close) NOA1

1/26/07 - Check cashed (not exactly sure on this date, but it's close)

1/26/07 - Marked as touched in online case status

4/25/07 - By 3:30 PM last date touched changed in online case status to 4/25

4/26/07 - By 8:55 AM last date touched changed in online case status to 4/26

5/3/07 - Got 2 emails of approval at 11:30 AM!!! NOA2 (online but not received in the mail yet)!!!

5/4/07 - Touched.

5/10/07 - Case received by NVC!!! Only 1 week!!

5/14/07 - NVC sent to Juarez. Fast again!

5/17/07 - Juarez has received petition.

5/22/07 - Juarez mailed packet.

5/29/07 - Received packet in US.

6/4/07 - Going for medical exam in Juarez.

6/5/07 - Going for consulate interview...hopefully getting the visa!!!

6/5/07 - Got it!

6/14/07 - Juan arrived in the US through San Francisco

7/10/07 - Civil wedding

AOS/EAD/AP

------------------------------

7/27/07 - Mailed applications to Chicago

8/23/07 - Check finally cashed, still no receipt or anything in the mail (receipt #s are on the back of the cancelled checks, so you could use them to call or check status online if data entry was completed)

9/7/07 - Received NOA1s in the mail!! Receipt date of 7/30.

9/14/07 - Still the cases aren't showing up online.

Call the automated line, but go through the prompts and talk to someone live. The K-1's don't ever get entered in the NVC database, for the automated call line, so there will be no record of your case. Only a live person will tell you if and when they got your petition and forwarded it on to the consulate.
