I called USCIS again just now and found out I was APPROVED back on April 24th!! I posted a new topic on it. :D Ridiculous how the online status didn't change, nor was I sent any emails. FIGURES!!!

THe officer I spoke with didn't mention anything about pending approval though like another VJer mentioned...

Congrats...looks like you are moving forward...

I can see a trend now of people calling USCIS now... :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Feb. 16-Sent 129F to TSC.

Feb. 27-NOA1, received CSC.

Mar. 27-Found VJ, and became disappointed for not being able to use VSC.

Mar. 27-Applied for military expedite and got congressional help.

Mar. 28-touched.

Mar. 29-touched again.

Mar. 30-touched yet again.

Apr. 04-touched another time.

Apr. 05-touched some more.

May 15-touched once again.

May 15-NOA2. 78 days...WOW!!!

May 16-touched???(mail to NVC???).

May 18-Received Hard Copy NOA2.

May 21-NVC receives case!!!

May 23-NVC sends to Seoul!!!

Jun 04-Embassy receives case!!!

Jun 06-Receive Packet 3.

:lol: Needed a good laugh. I so sympathize. Feel like I'm going nuts myself sometimes, but thanks for sharing! At least we're not alone in all of this madness! A bit disappointing that the website/email system seems to be a bit rubbish right now!

Thanks for the congrats earlier in the day. It is strange though, I saw my first touch late last night, then very early this morning the thing changed to approved, but it said approved May 1. So they obviously update the online thing at a different time than they actually make the approval. It might be a good idea in that case to make a call.

I hope the rest of you get approvals soon. I was feeling bad because it does set us back a total of 10 or so days longer than we had planned on for being approved (we'd hoped for at least the average). I wanted to have a couple more weeks while I'm still working in Chicago to spend with my fiancee when she gets here, because after that we'll be somewhere boring for a while (she's used to a bigger city).

I think it helps a lot if you have travel plans to go see your fiance/fiancee during this wait. We're hoping that at this point, we have no more than 3 months left in the entire process before she gets her visa, and I'm going this month to visit - the 2 months after that will be the shortest time we've been apart since we first had to be apart. It helps a lot to have some approximate date. When things just seem like they're taking an unknown amount of time, its never fun.

I wish those waiting the best of luck in getting their approvals.

    June 9. 2007 - Florence went for medical exam and to request police certificate
    June 16, 2007 - Florence got interview scheduling letter from HK Consulate
    July 12, 2007 - Interview at Hong Kong Consulate for Florence, successful
    July 22, 2007 - Florence came to U.S.
    September 15, 2007 - We had our wedding!
    Now working on the AOS papers.

Did they tell you which dates it was going to be down? This just adds more to my pile of stress I already have. :wacko:

Congratulations! I got my approval via e-mail today (May 2) too! :dance: But the same thing happened to me. I was actually approved on May 1st and got my email at almost 9am (mountain time) today.
