lucho562 - check out the region forum for your particular country - most of them have threads about packet 3 and what's required when/how, all that good stuff, so you can get a jump start collecting documents if you want to.

as for the recent NOA2ers, where's the green-with-envy smiley! happy for you, on pins-and-needles for me! arghhhhhh!!!!!! i don't think my tummy can get any more knotted. please something today, pleasssssssssssse!

hey - here's a question (fwaguy, you probably know), on member timelines, when it says your file was approved in X days - is that counting from when it was sent or the NOA1? Must be the sent date right? Or can I just not count, because my own calendar count seem lower than others with the same NOA1 date. Just curious.

Here on VJ I believe it is the send date... On mine it is the number of days between reported NOA1 and NOA2

YMMV

Concerning the medical exam and the police certificate. Who needs this? The USC or the beneficiary? I'm assuming the beneficiary, but please confirm.

Beneficiary needs both. And they need a police cert for each country they have lived in for 6 months or more. You might want to get on that right away because it takes a while for those (police certs) to come in, in some countries

:)

Karoline

How long is the police certificates valid for? I have heard two conflicting timeframes...3 months and 1 year.

Lucho,

If you need info about the police certificates and medical send me a PM and I'll let you know. We've talked about it so much on the Colombian club threads that I know this info by heart.

As for everyone else, I've seen A LOT of approvals on the K-3/CR-1 forums. It looks like we're going to end this week with a bang.

Don't lose hope!

This may be consular specific (but I doubt it). I asked my consulate specifically this question. The response I received was that for there purposes, a PC from ANY country is valid for 1 year.

Ok, gotcha. I will check with the London consulate, just to make sure. So many da#$ ducks to get in a row!!! Each day, after more time than I care to admit to obsessing over this petition, I find out a bit more info. Thanks for your reply.

Right, NOA2s for January filers are going slooowww....

Maybe a flood of other visas to process? Late season flu outbreak? Really really really nice weather in SoCal? Office won free two week passes to Disney? Hmm...

Beneficiary needs both. And they need a police cert for each country they have lived in for 6 months or more. You might want to get on that right away because it takes a while for those (police certs) to come in, in some countries

How long is the police certificates valid for? I have heard two conflicting timeframes...3 months and 1 year.

Check out the UK regional forum. The issue has been discussed there many times.

will do. Any action for you? Regarding your petition of course!!!! Hope it is soon for you. BTW, I just called USCIS trying to speak with someone in regards to if we get a RFE. I think we will. So, I told the guy I was concerned, told him what we sent in for evidence (pics but they don't have dates, and passport pages, which is all the atty told us to send in). I told him I wanted to be prepared for RFE if we got one. Then I said that although we have many pics in UK and US, none have dates on them. I said we went to a professional photographer and they could print pics up with the date on them as evidence. I said we also have copies of airline itineraries with both of our names on them but not the actual boarding passes. After going through all of this, he said he does not have the answer and that I would have to make an info pass. Unfortunately, the nearest local office is two and a half hours away. I fear that if I make the appt, I will get the same lack of answers that I just got...wait and follow the instructions on the RFE. DRRRRR. After reading someone elses RFE, I still don't know if the evidence I just listed would suffice.
