I can see a lot of January filers getting their approvals, is it time for me to panic? We haven't got any touches at all since we got theNOA1, and i was asking my paralegal about it and she told me that it will probably take another 4 months to get the approval. :crying: She's not bothered at all, and she doesn't seem to show any sympathy to what I am going through

I'm somewhat of a newbie here, I'm sure my opinions will be corrected. :)

My NOA1 was Jan 26, the only "touch" was a change of mailing address. I think this is a good sign, most RFEs that slow down the NOA2 come in the first two weeks or so after NOA1. Several members have recently posted that they received their NOA2 approval with no touches after NOA1.

Once your I-129f is out of a "to-do/inbox" stack on a USCIS employee's desk, an approval/rejection decision will come quickly. If your I-129f is picked up for an approval decision the first time after NOA1, you will not have a touch since NOA1. Your paralegal may be referring to final visa approval in four months. Seven months sounds about correct for final visa issuance with no complications. Your NOA2 is due this week and surely before the end of April.

George

Thanks for the responses :) I hope we won't get any RFEs, well im pretty confident that the lawyer has reviewed all our docs and she would have known before filing the application if we'll need more information. Anyway, my sweetie's coming in May, i think we'll have our NOA2 by the time he comes here to visit. It'll be a perfect time to celebrate another milestone (yes, just like the milestones you set in project management ) together. -- kathy

NOA2 approved!

NOA1 received date was 1/12.

NOA2 approval date was 3/2.

I had a dream that it had been approved, which is what spurred me to get the mail today.

No touches/emails/online status changes, either.

I'm trying to make a list of everything that I need to get done now, but it's hard to concentrate!

Congrats!!

Can you please make a timeline? We want fwaguys updates to be accurate as possible. thanks

Sweet good to know that the other 1/22 NOA2 filer wasn't a fluke, now we know USCIS are really working 1/22 cases.

I'm confused by your timeline. It says you sent in the petition in January but your NOA1 was in March? (Maybe its a typo)
