I too have started to gather the necessary items to mail to Marlon. I think we'll be seeing some NOA2 action within the next week.

Good luck to all of us!

The 4 of us with 1/29 should compare our WHOLE journey and note the country differences etc!

I thought so

Luis: Just go by the K1 Visa flowchart and gather everything like the employer letter, bank statements, I34 etc...

I have to have a co-sponsor so I need to get all of his information too..

To all waiting NOA2, contact the IRS to get a tax transcript for 2003-2005, it takes about a week to get it in the mail.

I am just trying to be ready when the time comes!

If I read correctly, the instructions at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

titled "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):"

require only a COPY of the NOA2. This can be scanned and emailed when it arrives. Why wait to send the remainder of what the beneficiary will need? I'm sending the package next Monday.

George

You are quite right George but I have some extra items that I need to get before I can send Marlon anything as I need a co-sponsor. When I went to Jamaica to see Marlon last month, I already took him the original I29 packet that I had submitted.

Hi futuremrs... what USPS,, can access to this website? You posted here that you checked your status and they received it already?

You should have received a green half slip if you sent your package asking for delivery confirmation and signature. This piece of paper has your tracking number on it and if you go to the website www.usps.com and click on the link for tracking packages, and enter your package number and if it has been at least a day, you should have some information as to where it is at and at what time etc. You will get confirmation in the mail too. Hope that helps!

thanks for the boost msu17

Am I the only one that sits and ponders and says "what if I have sent the I129f, 1 week earlier" or "should have taken my passport photo a week before"

I was lazy in sending my app...now i'm paying the price. As I have come to know, everyday counts when you're waiting.

We got the same sentiments.. Hee. So no, you're not the only one who mulls about it.. :D My fiance and I been talking and planning to send the petition since october last year but as what you've said, we were lazy too.. If we did, maybe we're now preparing for the interview..

You were never a mistake. You were my realization.

If you are going to send Tax return information - you'll have to send the Tax Return you filed (IRS/1040, EZ or whatever) and the W-2s and/or 1099s etc (whatever you used for your individual return)... as supporting documents.

The IRS transcripts (which can be ordered from the IRS) on the other hand, don't have to have the attached supporting documents (because that information is part of the transcript) - that's essentially the difference between the two.

Why not? Its not a federal holiday.

Someone asked in a separate thread about Good Friday. It's not a federal holiday, like TracyTN points out.

Here's a list of Federal Holidays: http://www.opm.gov/fedhol/2007.asp

Some countries - like the UK - observe today as a national holiday. Here, only Christmas, and I suppose, arguably, Thanksgiving, kindasorta, are holidays that have a religious crossover. Otherwise, we go with the church-state separation thing and don't give other holidays off.

(Though some schools in various areas of particular religious concentrations might find ways to have days off when many children would be out anyway - like some Jewish holy days and some school districts schedule their spring breaks around Easter weekend, etc.)

I suppose its possible some more employees than usual might take today off, since its a holiday weekend or school break weekend/week. But the government is technically open for business as usual.
