Hello,

I received my NOA2 on September 15th and today I called the NVC and was told they received my file on Oct 1st and I was given my case number from the NVC. My question is, now what? Can I (and should I) do anything with this case number or do I need to wait until the embassy receives the files?

Thank you,

Brian

Congratulations, am in the same situation with you. Got my case number from NVC on October 2nd and contacted the embassy but they said they haven't recieved my file yet. You have to wait the NVC to send you package to the a Embassy then contact the embassy for packet 3 and interview schedule. I checked my case at NVC using the CEAC tracker but still says its at NVC and not yet send to the embassy. I hope this info helps

I also am in same situation. NVC received my file on the 1st. They gave me number and ask that I wait for notification in mail. They added that they usually keep files for 20 days. That further questions should be with embassy or consulate. My fiancé has passport already so I will be filing DS160 and hopefully schedule interview soon. Best of luck to all.

Huh? K-1 visa chasing?

Please click 'guides' at top when logged in from a PC (handphones really suck for this)

and

click/read/review the 'K-1 FlowChart'.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congrats on the approval! You can start filling out the DS-160 form. You can save this form and you and your fiance can fill out together. Also apply for a Police Clearance Certificate. It took my fiance a while to obtain that.

Blessings on all the future endeavors! ?
