That's different. The GOP has the best interests of the country at heart. We have one right wing nutswinger here who thinks Obama is the head of a conspiracy to intentionally destroy the US.

Wait a minute, are you trying to tell me he isn't?

The pathetic thing is, he probably truly believes it. Being a moderate, I don't think any President ever intended to destroy the country, not Nixon, not Bush. Now if I was a lunatic or suffered from paranoia, I may have thought those two were trying to destroy the US.

Not scared? I heard this talk yesterday, bright guy. He talked about Ebola going to some other underdeveloped region i.e. Latin America and overwhelming their ability to cope with clusters in quarantine. Hell one here, two there, etc. The ambulance that took the guy to the hospital remained in service for two days, the one he vomited in. I sometimes fear the CDC may be too much like FEMA but there will no good job Brownie.

I watched a televised media event from Texas yesterday and it was a circus with the reporters screaching at the end about not getting enough time for more questions.

Yes Ebola is serious.

Yes getting it and/or being exposed is a concern and on a personal level would be frightening.

But the level of panic in the reporters questions, as though Armageddon was nigh, is pretty silly.

And of course the Right Wing echo chamber thinks themselves brilliant for fomenting faux outrage and genuine panic from their sheeple by harping on closing our borders. The economic impact of doing so would be far more catastrophic than the threat of Ebola here in the US. Such silly little people.

Nope. I am not scared. As of this evening, this is managed and under control. The experts are handling this professionally and I don't see that there's anything I need to worry about. I survived SARS in 2003 and that was an airborne virus that naturally transmits far easier than Ebola. We did not cut off flights to China and SE Asia then and we somehow, mysteriously survived that thing. I was even air traveling quite a bit to various overseas locations back then. Frequently. And yet, here I still am. Amazing, isn't it?

So, while you're busy sh!tting bricks sideways, I think I'll enjoy my life.

Right wingers are naturally scared people so it is easy for the right wing echo chamber to make them shake in their little boots. It's hilarious to watch, really.
